A Note from Carey Ridge’s Instructional Coach Marjorie Ramey

Have you heard your child say that Mrs. Ramey was teaching in his/her classroom? Be- ginning this school year, Westfield Washington Schools have an instructional coach in each elementary school and at WIS! Instructional coaches collaborate with staff mem- bers to create a focus on learning and growing to maximize student academic, social, and emotional growth. As Carey Ridge’s instructional coach, I provide our staff with professional development, in- formal support, and structured formal coaching cycles to help teachers develop and grow their prac- tice. One essential part of my job is collaborative support, so I will be working in tandem with teachers in their classrooms. The codes are worth points which translate to funds that the PTO can purchase for extra -curricular activities including sports, technology, art and/or school supplies within Carey Ridge.
