ANNUAL LIST OF OBLIGATED PROJECTS FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR (FFY) 2020

12 Acme Road Suite 104 Brewer, 04412 207.941.3111 www.bactsmpo.org

1 Purpose of this Report

The Metropolitan Transportation Planning and Programming regulation requires that (per Title 23 §450.334):

“on an annual basis, no later than 90 calendar days following the end of the program year, the State, public transportation operator(s), and the MPO shall cooperatively develop a listing of projects (including investments in pedestrian walkways and bicycle transportation facilities) for which funds under 23 U.S.C. or 49 U.S.C. Chapter 53 were obligated in the preceding program year.”

Listing Requirements

Title 23 §450.334 requires that the Bangor Area Comprehensive Transportation System (BACTS), as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), publish a listing of projects that obligated federal transportation funds in the previous federal fiscal year including investments for highway improvements, transit projects, bus facilities, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, signal and intersection improvements, etc. This listing is publicly posted on the BACTS website.

The listing must include all federally funded projects authorized (or revised to increase obligations) in the preceding program year, and at a minimum, must include:

 Sufficient description to identify each project;  Identification of the agencies responsible for carrying out each project;  Amount of Federal funds requested in the TIP for each project;  Federal funding that was obligated during the preceding year for each project;  Federal funding remaining and available for subsequent years for each project.

Report of FFY 2020 Obligated Projects

The obligation report has been developed using data from the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and the City of Bangor.

This report is divided into two sections:

 Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funded projects, which includes State and local highway projects; and  Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funded projects, which includes transit projects.
