2008 Igloolik is located on a small island in , just off on the mainland of . Although Igloolik is part of the Qikiqtani or Baffin , there exists a mix of cultural traditions from each of the three . Igloolik is a community that balances modern living with a traditional way of life. This balance is illustrated by Production’s Atanarjuat, the award winning movie based on traditional legend.

Getting There: operates flights from to Igloolik on Thursday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. Kivalliq Air operates flights from to Igloolik on Sundays and Thursdays, with stops in Repulse Bay and Hall Beach. Please check with the airlines for schedule changes.
