Geiranger – The Traditional Herdal Goat Farm

On this excursion the bus will take you over the Eagle Road, a spectacular road with 11 hairpin bends. On the steep sides of the road you might spot goats grazing grass. Once you arrive at the last hairpin bend, the bus will stop for a break. You can walk to the platform for a majestic view over a.o. the and the waterfall “Seven Sisters”. You will immediately understand why this is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From the Eagle Road the bus will drive along the lake of . A beautiful lake where many fathers like to take their kids to for some trout fishing. After a short photo stop at the lake, the excursion continues to the idyllic Herdal Summer Farm. This farm has been operated for over 300 years. Here you will find goats, cows and fjord horses. The owners of the farm and their staff will gladly tell you all about the farm and invite you to taste their homemade goat cheese.
