Our beginnings date back to 1961 when our founder, Antonio Lopez Sanchez, starts to distribute the horticultural production from his estates in Almeria, Bajo Ebro and Montsià (Tarragona). In 1985, his son Antonio takes over the business and expands its production capacity.
In the late 90s, the business starts to export fruit into new markets across all Europe, increasing production capacity.
Due to the surging demand of citrus fruits as well as to our increased production capacity, in 1999 we expand our facilities in Amposta (Tarragona) from which we operate today.
In 2012, Antonio's daughters take over carrying on the family business.
WHERE WE ARE “Lo” delta
Amsafresh, situated in the south of Tarragona, It is located in the heart of the Ebro river Delta, one of the richest agricultural areas in Catalonia with a great fruit and vegetable production.
We are, therefore, within the Terres de l’Ebre environment listed by UNESCO as a Nature Reserve of the Biosphere. A natural environment that is home from many ecosystems that run from the coast from the Mediterranean to the mountains and through the calm waters of the Ebro river. WE’RE PRODUCERS OURSELVES
In AMSAFRESH we look after our own orchards and therefore we are producers ourselves. At the same time, thanks to Camara Citricola de Amposta, we have a network of local partner producers working exclusively for us.
This translates into a total area of more than 500ha, more than 200 field workers and a yearly production capacity of more than 30 million kilos. NEAREST EUROPE
Our storage, processing and distribution facilities are conveniently based in Amposta, in the province of Tarragona, in a strategic position near to the main European distribution hubs.

Our 11,000m facilities include a main plant of 6,700m2 where our offices are based.
We also have 4,000m of loading stations, with a loading and unloading capacity of 50 million kilos.
