EXPECTATIONS

The following policies will be enforced at all athletic events that occur in the Atrisco Heritage High .

ENFORCEMENT: All rules will be interpreted, administered, and enforced by the gym master, school personnel/administrators, or school security. ENTRANCE: Entrance to the school and gym is from one Location. Park on the south side of the school off of 118th Street and enter through the main Gym front doors (far south door). Gymnasium entrance and ticket sales are in south entrance area of main Gym. SEATING: Visiting fans are directed to the same side of the gym as the scoring table and team benches. Visiting fans may sit in the section directly behind the team bench, but are not to sit behind the scoring table or behind the home team bench. UNATTENDED CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED BEHIND THE BLEACHERS OR IN OTHER GYM AEREAS NO FOOD AND DRINK: No coolers, fast food bags, or other food drink items will be allowed in the gym. Teams with coolers of water or Gatorade will be inspected by the gym master and allowed. The snack bar is located in the gym lobby and will be open for certain events (not all). NOISE MAKERS: NOT ALLOWED: Whistles, cowbells, kazoo, bullhorn, horns, or any items that might disrupt play, hamper communication, or simulate sounds similar to game management sounds. Megaphones and musical instruments are not allowed. Band musical instruments are allowed (in the band) and limited to appropriate times. Band members must be in recognizable attire. ALLOWED: Thunder-sticks, hand clappers or rattles. AHA reserves the right to confiscate items that they deem inappropriate, excessive, or disruptive. RE-ENTRY POLICY: Restrooms, the snack bar, are located in the Gym lobby. Fans may leave the gym area to the gym lobby and return to the gym. They must show an appropriate hand stamp and a ticket stub to re-enter the gym. SPIRIT SQUADS: Visiting spirit squads are directed to the side of the gym as their team. Spirit squads are subject to direction and limitations by the Referees and the gym master. Spirit squads must be in uniform and accompanied by a sponsor or supervisor. OFFICIALS: Officials will be assigned to a coach’s office, will be provided with beverage, and shower facilities will be available (no towels). Check with the gym master for specific location. SIGNS: Only signs that support your team or an individual player will be allowed into the gym. Any sign displayed with negative or a derogatory message will be confiscated and the person holding that sign will be escorted out of the facility. NO HAND HELD SIGNS ALLOWED. All signs must reflect APS policies and guidelines. Determinations will be made by AHA gym personnel and administrators. EMERGENCY: In the case of emergency, all patrons are to follow the direction of the gym master, school personnel and/or administration, or school security. Failure to do so will result in the part violating policy being arrested.

GYM EXPECTATIONS

The following policies will be enforced at all athletic events that occur in the Highland High School gymnasium.

DIRECTIONS Highland High School is located at 4700 Coal SE. From the Central—San Mateo intersection, take Central west to Monroe, then take Monroe south. Monroe will dead-end at the Highland gym parking lot.

PARKING There are a variety of parking areas at Highland. At the present time construction is occurring in the gymnasium parking lot. Fans may park in the faculty parking lot, located north of the main building and accessible from Coal SPECTATOR GYM EXPECATIONS The following policies will be enforced by the Gym Master and/or Highland High School Personnel at all athletic events that occur in the Highland High School gymnasium.

ENTRANCE Entry into the HHS gym is on the north end of the facility. Tickets are sold outside at the ticket booth.

RE-ENTRANCE POLICY Re-entry to games will be allowed with the proper stamp and ticket stub.

Park in the northeast parking lot off of Alameda (turn left at “T” and follow signs) and enter through the cafeteria doors. Gymnasium entrance and ticket sales are in the concourse. SEATING: Visiting fans are direct to the side of the gym opposite the scoring table and team benches. Visiting fans may sit in the section directly behind the team bench, but are not to sit behind the scoring table or behind the home team bench. The following policies will be enforced at all athletic events that occur in the gym- nasium. ENFORCEMENT: All rules will be interpreted, administered, and enforced by the gym master, school personnel/administrators, or school security.

SEATING: Visiting team fans will be directed to sit behind their team in the EAST section of the bleachers. Children will not be left unattended to play in any portion of the gym area.

VIDEO TAPING: The balcony is reserved for Official Team Video Recording. No other persons will be allowed in that area. Only during larger games the upper bleachers will be opened and Team Video Recording will be at the center of those two sections of the upper bleachers.

NOISEMAKERS: No noisemakers of any kind will be allowed.

OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK: No food or drink with the exception of bottled water will be allowed in the gym area.

RE-ENTRY: Spectators will not be readmitted once they vacate the premises with- out prior approval from the gym master or the ticket taker.

OCCASIONALLY visiting fans must exit through the NORTH gym doors at the con- clusion of the final game. The small gym lobby presents a crowd safety concern.

EMERGENCY EXITING: All patrons will need to follow the direction of the gym master, APS personnel and/or administration, or school security.

FAN EXPECTATIONS: All spectators, coaches, athletes and officials are expected to adhere to all APS and NMAA guidelines of good sportsmanship. As an educa- tional/athletic event “Pursuing Victory With Honor” is the standard of ethical be- havior we strive toward. GYM EXPECTATIONS The following policies will be enforced at all athletic events that occur in the gymnasium.

 No food or drinks allowed in gym area. Bottled water or bottled beverages are allowed. No one is permitted to bring coolers in the gym. The trainer provides water and cups at bench.  Doors to the gym and locker room will not open until one hour before the start of the first contest.  Rio Grande athletic trainer will provide assistance and will be on duty at all levels of com- petition.  All cheer and dance squads entering gym must be in uniform.  Visitor cheer squads are asked to cheer behind the visitor’s bench.  Please have administrators, coaches and guests identify themselves at the entrance door.  Signs may NOT be taped or hung on gym walls.  No noisemakers or cowbells will be allowed in the gym.  A “valuable bag” is suggested for each visiting team. Rio Grande High School will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.  Rio Grande High school provides chair runners; we ask they are not used as a trash can, please put trash in proper receptacles.  No smoking or alcoholic beverages allowed on campus,  Coaches turn in your scorebook 30 minutes before game time. Rio Grande Conduct of Court Rio Grande and parents are reminded that good sportsmanship is expected on and off the playing court. Raven students are expected to support the Raven teams and your cheers should reflect that support. Rio Grande Expectations The cheers will always be positive and supportive of our teams. GYM EXPECTATIONS The following policies will be enforced at all athletic events that occur in the gymnasium. No food or drink allowed in the gym area. All food and drink will be consumed in the lobby area only. Bottled water will be permitted. No one will be allowed to bring coolers into the gym. Our trainer provides water and cups at each bench. No hand held signs allowed in the gym. Wall signs and posters are allowed for the home school only. No pets allowed. (exceptions made for assistance animals) Noise makers not allowed include but are not limited to: Whistles, Cowbells, Kazoo, Bullhorns, Horns, and Megaphones, Plastic bottle filled with rocks, or any other item that might disrupt play, hamper communication or simulate sounds similar to the game management sounds. Band musical instruments are allowed for band members only. All bands must follow the NMAA rules in regard to proper playing times. (thunder sticks, hand clappers will be allowed) Smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited on any APS campus. Please enter and exit through the front entrance on the south side of the gym. Re-Entry is NOT allowed—Spectators must purchase another ticket to re-enter the gymnasium should they leave the facility for any reason. Pass holders are expected to adhere to the Re-Entry policy. Visiting coaches please report to the gym master upon arrival to the gym for facility and game information. Visiting teams will use the bench on the North end of the gym. Visiting spectators will sit behind the visiting bench area. Visiting squads subject to direction and limitations by the Referees and the Gym Master. All cheer and drill members will be allowed free admittance if in full uniform. Locker rooms will not be made available until ONE hour before the first scheduled contest. Spectators will be granted admission 30 minutes before the first scheduled contest. Visitors will not be granted entrance to the gym area if a Sandia High School team is practicing . Warm up before games will only be allowed if team’s coaches are present. Shooting during half time will not be allowed by anyone. Our auxiliary gym Will Not be made available for visiting teams for any purpose. Fans must stay off the gym floor at all times. Violation of this rule could result in school discipline and/or arrest by law enforcement officials. All patrons will be expected to follow APS and the NMAA rules on Sportsmanship. Respect the right of others...do not physically or verbally abuse any person or engage in conduct that threatens or endangers the health or safety of others. Respect the performance of the officials and their duties. Observe high standards of taste and decency...which includes refraining from disorderly, lewd, indecent or obscene expression. SHS and APS personnel reserve the right to refuse admittance to or dismiss any persons failing to comply with any of the above mentioned regulations.

GYM EXPECTATIONS

The following policies will be enforced at all athletic events that occur in the Valley High School gymnasium.

All coaches should present their official APS pass in order to gain entry. Six coaches will be admitted for basketball, six for volleyball, and two per team for . Any coach that does not have a pass will need to purchase a ticket. There will be limited admission for managers. Their names and the names of your entire roster should be presented when the first coach arrives at Valley High School. Managers who arrive long after the competition has begun will have to purchase a ticket. Your faculty and staff should have either a pass or a school ID card to receive free admission. This admission is good for one person only. Of course, we will honor all administrator’s passes and ask that the administrators on duty identify themselves to the gym master or the administrator in charge. Only cheerleaders and drill team members in uniform will be admitted free of charge. Their friends and those out of uniform will be given the opportunity to purchase a ticket. Those cheerleaders who complete their duties before the varsity contest will not be allowed to leave the gym for their clothes or the change somewhere else. There are ample facilities for changing in the gym. Should they leave the gym, they will have to purchase a ticket to re-enter. The ticket office will open one hour before the first scheduled preliminary game. There is one formal entrance to our gym and only one site from which tickets will be sold. Anyone who leaves the gym at any time will have to purchase another ticket to re-enter. No pre-sold tickets will be accepted. The only exceptions will be for special events and events sanctioned by the NMAA. We will be notified when those events will be and will accept the proper ticket sold from the proper site. Following the end of the third quarter of a varsity basketball game the ticket office will close and no one will be allowed further admittance. We have an excellent snack bar. No outside food will be allowed and no visiting teams will be allowed to cook any meals inside the Valley High School gym. Visitors sit on the north bleachers, east of the scorer’s table. Visiting boys teams will dress in the boys PE locker room. Visiting girls teams will dress in the girls PE locker room. We ask that your teams please leave the locker room in the condition you found it. Any player needing to see our trainer, Mark Hogan, will find him in his office in the hallway just west of the main playing court. Please see him as soon as you can. The auxiliary gym will not be available to your team for any purpose. No banners, horns, or signs from your school will be allowed inside the Valley High School gymnasium.

Enforcement: All rules will be interpreted, administered, and enforced by the gym master, school personnel/ administrators, or school security.

Entrance: All fans will enter and exit through the south doors. Visiting fans will sit in the north bleachers and the Home fans will sit in the south bleachers.

No food or drink All food and drink must be consumed in the concourse area.

Re-entry Policy: Restrooms, the snack bar, and vending machines are located in the concourse area. Fans may leave the gym area and return to the gym. They must show an appropriate hand stamp and a ticket stub to re-enter the gym.

Noisemakers: such as bells, whistles, kazoos, bullhorn, or horns are prohibited. (Thunder sticks are allowed) Musical instruments are limited to band members.

Volcano Vista reserves the right to confiscate items that they deem inappropriate, excessive, or disruptive.

GYM EXPECTATIONS

The following policies will be enforced at all athletic events that occur in the High School gymnasium.

GAME ADMISSIONS Admission ticket prices for APS basketball games are as follows and can be purchased prior to each game near gym entrances. Basketball Varsity Games – Adults: $4.00 Students/Seniors: $2.00 JV and Freshman Games – Adults: $3.00 Students/Seniors: $2.00 Volleyball Varsity/JV/C-team – Adults:$3.00 Students/Seniors:$2.00 Tickets will be sold through the end of the third quarter of the final game. Gym policy does not permit re-entry into the gym – any person wishing to enter the gym must purchase a ticket. All seating is general admission – Home team fans will sit opposite of team benches. Purchased admission and APS Athletic Department issued passes (i.e. administrator, coach, complimentary, school complimentary) may enter through gym entrances located near ticket windows. Faculty and staff of participating with a current school photo ID may also enter through stadium entrances. Cheerleaders, drill team, band members of the participating schools will be admitted free when in uniform. -athletes in other levels of the same program will be extended free admission to their games when identified by a member of the coaching staff, generally 15 minutes prior to game time. Student-athletes in non-participating programs are not admitted free. Complimentary admission (one person only) will be extended to: working press (print, electronic, etc.) participating, visiting, non-APS school supervisors (principals, athletic directors, etc.) pre-authorized groups denoted by participating schools (homecoming court, Jimmy Carter, John Adams, and Taylor Basketball players, etc.) Free parking is available at all stadium events. Handicapped parking spaces are located near all ticket windows All doors must be locked during games except for main gym entrance. GAME GUIDELINES Smoking is strictly prohibited on all APS properties including Milne and Wilson stadiums/parking lots. No pets are allowed in the . Concessions will be available at all basketball games. Outside food or drink is not permitted inside the gym. **NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN GYM PLAYING AREA** Only in the lobby area are accepted. Positive behavior is expected at all events. Spectators will refrain from using foul language and will not make derogatory comments to players, game officials, stadium personnel, or other spectators. Noise makers must follow all NMAA guidelines. Children must be supervised at all times. Each Varsity basketball game will have the following paid workers: * Gym Master – Gym set up, gym clean-up. Help with trash in gym and lobby. Score Clock Operator, Score Book, Publ ic Address Announcer, Ticket Taker(2), SW Door Monitor – Help with clean-up in bleachers. SE Door Monitor – Help with clean-up in bleachers. NE Door Monitor – Help with clean-up in bleachers. Custodian – Clean-up in gym, lobby, and restrooms before and after games. APS Security. Non-Paid: National Anthem Singer TRAINER The West Mesa High School training room will be available to home and visiting teams during half-time of the C-team, half-time of the JV game and between the c-team and JV game. The West Mesa High School Training Room will provide water to the home and visiting teams benches and locker rooms for all varsity games. LOCKER ROOMS Locker Rooms will be made available to visiting teams one hour prior to the first game of the night. A key to the visiting locker room will be made available to the visiting team head coach. Officials will use girls locker room office during boys games and boys locker room office during girls games. GAME PROTOCOL National Anthem will take place at 0:00 time on the clock. Player introductions will take place immediately following the national anthem. Only starting line-ups will be announced before games.
