General Travel Information

Train services

Elstree and Borehamwood Station is 10 minutes walk from the school. There are frequent trains to Station from West Hampstead, Hendon, Mill Hill Broadway, Radlett and St.Albans. The timetable is available from www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk

Bus services

As well as the new network of private buses, (see overleaf for details), the school is well-served by bus routes from surrounding areas of and NW . These buses stop at Borehamwood Bus Station at the Tesco Superstore on Shenley Road, Borehamwood, where a short walkway, marshalled by the school’s security team at the beginning and end of the school day, leads directly from Tesco to the school site in Hillside Avenue.

Travel by car

Hillside Avenue is a narrow residential road which has one other school situated in it in addition to Yavneh College. Parents are requested not to drive down Hillside Avenue to drop their children off as this causes congestion and reduces the safety of the children as they cross the road. If parents do want to deliver their children to school by car they are asked to drop them off in the Tesco car park and the children can walk through to the school.

Cycling to School

Pupils are encouraged to cycle to school. The campus is well-provided with cycle racks where pupils can store their bicycles during the day.
