Parkf ields and Allum Lane Spinney Parkf hay from the As far back as the 17th century, meadows of Parkfields was regularly shipped into Haymarket to feed the horses used for ’s The hay pony and trap transportation in the city. a management regime that is still cut annually, supports a rich mixture of grasses and wildflowers. In the summer meadows are buzzing with bees, crickets and butterflies. Before you come out onto Allum Lane you walk through Spinney. This area of woodland is a beautiful sight in spring with wild garlic and bluebells carpeting may hear great spotted the ground. You woodpeckers drumming on the impressive oak trees. .
