INSTRUCTIONS: Print out and completely fill out and sign this Application Form-Part 1. Make a photocopy of this form for your records. Mail or deliver the completed form to the Program Director.

Eligibility: Undergraduate college students with a GPA of 3.25 or above (4.0 scale) and in good judicial & financial standing are welcome to apply to the Marist in Summer Program.

Description of Program: Marist in Manhattan Summer Program allows a select group of undergraduate college students to reside in student housing in City while they engage in Marist College-authorized internships and related coursework. The program enhances students’ abilities to develop their career readiness. The length of the program is 10 weeks. All accepted students must enroll in a minimum of 3 credits with Marist, including Marist-approved internship courses and/or other academic courses.

SUMMER PROGRAM APPLICATION 2-STEP PROCESS The Summer Program application process has 2 steps:

Part 1 – Application & Conditional Acceptance – Open from Nov. 1, 2019-April 15, 2020 • Fill out and submit this Application Form • Submit an up-to-date resume (be sure it includes any previous internships or career-related activities & experiences) • Submit essay outlining your career goals and why you want to take part in this program (300-500 words). • Two recommendation/referral forms from faculty members and/or your academic advisor. (see the Recommendation Form for more information)

*Students are encouraged to apply early as there is limited space in this program. After applications are reviewed the Manhattan Program staff will notify students as to whether they have met the requirements. Qualified students will be invited to a required meeting to review next steps for full acceptance into the program. If the number of accepted students exceeds the capacity of the program, we will notify affected students of their placement on a ‘wait list.’
