Having recently completed his ninth season at Iona and 19th season as a college head coach, Bozzella has achieved a tremendous amount of success throughout his career. Over the past nine years, Bozzella has brought Iona women’s basketball to unprecedented heights, transforming the program from cellar dweller to championship contender. When Coach Bozzella arrived at Iona in 2002, he inherited a program that had struggled through 20 consecutive losing seasons. During that stretch, accomplishments such as winning 20 games in a season or qualifying for the postseason were unheard of for this program. Now, however, such achievements are regular occurrences. The Maroon & Gold have twice won at least 20 games and have reached the postseason WNIT in three of the past five seasons. The Bozzella Era at Iona has featured numerous highlights so far. The numbers speak for themselves: • 105-86 overall record over the past six years (2006-2011) • 67-41 MAAC record over the past six years (2006-2011) - second best in the league • Two 20-win seasons (2006-2007 and 2007-2008) • Two berths in the MAAC championship game (2007 and 2008) • Three semi-final berths in the MAAC tournament (2006, 2009, 2010) THE BOZZELLA FILE • Seven postseason MAAC victories (2006-2011) Year at Iona: Tenth Season • Three postseason appearances (2007, 2008, 2010) • Two victories in the WNIT (one in 2007 and one in 2008) Birth Date: November 21, 1965 • One MAAC Player of the Year (Martina Weber, 2007) • Two MAAC Rookies of the Year (Toni Horvath, 2004; Kristina Ford, 2009) Age: 46 • 17 All-MAAC players (2006-2011) • 58 MAAC All-Academic honorees (Most by any team) Hometown: Glen Cove, N.Y.

SECTION II INVENTORY AND ANALYSIS A. OVERVIEW The Town of Poughkeepsie has a coastal area that is characterized by a diversity of largely urban land uses while retaining many significant. natural and cultural resources. With approximately two miles of frontage on Wappinger Creek and 8.5 miles on the Hudson River, the Town occupies an important position in the Mid-Hudson Valley's economy. The proposed coastal boundary ranges from 700 to 7,000 feet inland from the water's edge. The railroad and topography have both played a part in the development of the Town's waterfront -- effectively limiting access. A mix of residential, commercial and industrial uses occupy the coastal area; some of these uses are water-dependent. Several businesses and institutions including the Hudson River Psychiatric Center, Marist College, Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, IBM and New York Trap Rock quarry occupy large sites which further limit both physical and visual access to the Hudson River. Section B below describes the various natural and man-made features of the coastal area and their implications for waterfront policy making. Section C highlights major issues and opportunities that this Local Water Revitalization Program will address. B. INVENTORY AND ANALYSIS Field surveys, previous studies and published data were all used to assemble an inventory of existing conditions and features of the coastal area. Base maps were prepared to illustrate the data and photographs taken to record selected images. The results of this inventory and analysis process are presented below and illustrated on the accompanying maps. 1. Existing Land and Water Uses a.

Values Statement The College fulfills its mission by pursuing three ideals: excellence in education, a sense of community, and a commitment to service. These ideals were handed down to us by the Marist Brothers who founded the College. Now an independent institution governed by a lay board of trustees, Marist continues to embrace the three ideals as an integral part of the College mission. Excellence in Education Marist achieves its ideal of excellence in undergraduate, graduate, and professional education by actively engaging each student through exemplary teaching and distinc- tive learning opportunities. At the undergraduate level, this begins with a firm foundation in the liberal arts and sciences. Through the core curriculum and major fields of study, students learn to think logically and creatively, to synthesize and integrate methods and insights from a variety of disciplines, and to express themselves effectively orally, in writing, and through media.
