Twickenham Road, Isleworth – proposed zebra crossing

A. Road Traffic Regulation Act, Section 23 – Provision of Pedestrian Crossing 1. The Borough of Hounslow is proposing to introduce a zebra crossing where an existing pedestrian refuge island is located south of Lynton Close.

2. Documents giving further information on the proposals, including plans, can be viewed for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice: (a) online at hounslow.gov.uk by typing in the term “traffic notices” in the search bar; or (b) at the Customer service reception, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, TW3 3EB, between the hours of 9am and 4.45pm, Mondays to Fridays.

3. Any person wishing to comment on the proposed zebra crossing should send a statement in writing to the Assistant Director Transport, Parking & Environmental Strategy at the address above or by email to [email protected] quoting the reference TMO/P011/20 to be received by no later than Wednesday, 19 February 2020.

Statement of reasons

Proposed zebra crossing - Twickenham Road, Isleworth

The Council is proposing to introduce a zebra crossing on Twickenham Road, Isleworth, where an existing pedestrian refuge island is located south of Lynton Close. By converting this location into a zebra crossing, the Council aims to improve pedestrian safety particularly before and after schools start and finish when peak pedestrian movement is experienced.
