Before making this Direction, the Secretaries of State have consulted with Professor Jonathan Van-Tam of the Department of Health and Social Care and had regard to any advice given by him. 1. This Direction applies to— a. the following premises— i. The London Youth Games Is Europe's Largest Youth Sports Festival. It Is Now a Season of Events Tak- Ing Place Over 9 Months
1 The London Youth Games is Europe's largest youth sports festival. It is now a season of events tak- ing place over 9 months including both School and Community Competitions across 30 different sports. The competitions are part of the national School Games Programme. Open competitions enable the most talented young people in each London borough to com- pete to become champions of London. Teams are organised by the sports development team in your local authority. ETNC is Team Ealing leading partner s for U14s & U19s squads. Ealing have won bronze at the games many times but yet to move up to the silver and gold podium. Ealing have always fin- ished in the top and are determined to support the development of girl in the borough. Turn the page to find out what it is like to trial and represent Ealing at the LYG. Previous athletes from the games have gone on to represent England at the commonwealth games and Team GB at the Olympics and Paralympic games. Did you know that 400m Gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu competed for the borough of Newham in both athletics and netball 2 Where and when did you first start netball? Westminster Secondary Schools PE & School Sport Offer 2019-20 The Physical Activity, Leisure and Sport (PALS) team formerly Westminster Sports Unit is uniquely placed to offer a comprehensive service to schools at the best possible value. We can broker quality services from partners in education, sport and physical activity to help develop and deliver a full PE and school sport offer to your school. The team has the support of a full time School Games Organiser (Angela Emanuel) and a Relationship Manager for Sport (Jon Hearn) and unlike commercial providers; there is no premium to cover the cost of overheads or profit margins. There are two membership options: • Full PESS Membership (access to the whole Westminster PE and School Sport package) o Single-sex Schools £250 o Mixed Schools £500 • Half PESS Membership (access to up to 5 one-day competitions. Twickenham Plantation A Historical Timeline 1663 King Charles II signed the Charter creating the colony of Carolina in 1663. The colony then included what is now present day North Carolina and South Carolina. Initially, the colony was administered by eight Lord Proprietors who were granted very liberal authority until 1729 when the proprietors surrendered to the Crown their rights and interests in the colony. At that time, the colony was divided into the colony of North Carolina and the colony of South Carolina, each having its own governor under the Crown of England. 1685 It is believed rice was first brought to Charleston harbor about 1685 on a ship from the island of Madagascar off the east coast of Africa. At this time, a limited rice culture existed on Madagascar and on the coastal areas of West Africa. According to legend, the ship encountered a raging storm in the Atlantic and sought the safety of Charleston harbor. During its dockage in Charleston, the ship’s captain gave rice to Dr. Henry Woodward, one of the first European settlers in the area. Following some experimentation with its growing, Dr. Woodward and others found the tidal rivers near Charleston were well suited for the growing of rice. Not only did early colonist survive, they soon profited greatly from this newly found cash crop. Many planters in and around Charleston later sought additional lands including tidal river lands along the Ashapoo, Combahee and Edisto rivers which now comprise the ACE Basin. The ACE Bain is the second largest estuary on the east coast, as the Chesapeake area is the largest.

IAAF DIAMOND LEAGUE MEETINGS 2016 Status Requirements and Regulations 1. General Principles 1.1 The IAAF Diamond League shall include the best invitational outdoor athletics meetings in the world. 1.2 Regulations governing the IAAF Diamond League shall be issued to the IAAF Diamond League Meeting Organisers (the Organiser) and may be amended every year by the IAAF, in agreement with Diamond League AG. 1.3 The precise requirements are defined hereunder. 1.4 Meeting Directors agree to respect all Rules, Regulations and decisions taken by the General Assembly of the Diamond League AG. 1.5 At least one person from the host country National Federation, selected in agreement with the Organising Committee, must be co-opted onto the Organising Committee for liaison purposes. 1.6 The IAAF Diamond League Calendar 2016 can be found in Appendix 1. 1.7 Formal Application for an IAAF Permit shall be submitted as follows: on the appropriate Application Form; countersigned by the Meeting Director and the host National Federation; by the deadline set by the IAAF. 1.8 No application shall be considered if Diamond League requirements were not met in 2015 and/or if they are not guaranteed for 2016. 2. Evaluation & Reporting 2.1 All IAAF Diamond League Meetings will undergo an annual evaluation on all aspects of their organisation following the system agreed by the Diamond League AG: level of the athletes competing, attendance of spectators; respect of these regulations; respect of all other IAAF and Diamond League Regulations (such as Television Production and Graphic Branding Guidelines); respect of the financial commitments towards the athletes; conduct of anti-doping measures; technical conduct of the competition; services provided to the athletes; Diamond League concept and office support; media services.
