1 Rules

1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of .

1.2 The Wettsegelordnung and the Ranglistenordnung of the DSV in their versions of 01.02.2017 will apply.

1.3 Racing rules 33, 34, 48, 49, Appendix B, C, D, E, F, P and T shall not apply. Rule 61.1 (a) will be changed as follows: Displaying a red fl ag is not necessary. The sailing instructions may also change other racing rules.

1.4 If there is a confl ict between languages the English text will take precedence. For the German national prescriptions the German text will take precedence.

2 Advertising [DP]

Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

3 Eligibility and Entry [DP] [NP]

3.1 The regattas are open to boats of the classes called above.

3.2 The person in charge shall either have a valid driving license of the DSV, „Youth sailor license“, „Sport sailor license“ or a valid official license prescribed or recommended for the sailing area. Members of other national federations shall have an adequate driving license of their national authority.

3.3 Every person of the crew shall be a member of a club of its national federation of .

3.4 Eligible boats shall enter online not later than 2nd of June 2019 under www.manage2sail.de. Late entries are in principle possible.

3.5 It´s the decision of the organising authority to accept or refuse a late entry.

4 Classification Not applicable.

5 Fees

5.1 Class Fee 29er 60,- €, 49er 60,- € Musto Skiff 50,- €. The required entry fee should be paid cash on site. By signing in, the entry fee shown above will apply even if the entry is cancelled later on or the boat does not show up. An entry gets finally valid by entire payment of the required fee.

5.2 For entering, please use www.manage2sail.de. For a late entry on site, it´s also possible to use the print-version of the electronic entry-form.

6 Qualifying and final series Not applicable.

7 Schedule

7.1 The participants may register on Saturday, 8th of June 2019 from about 10:00 am to about 11:20 am.

7.2 Races are planned on the 8th, on the 9th and on the 10th of June 2019.

7.3 At each day there will not be more than 7 races in the classes of 29er, 49er and Musto Skiff. Altogether there won´t be more than 16 races in each class. The 49FX will start together with the 49ers and will be timed together.

7.4 The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race is 12:00 am for the 49ers.

7.5 There won´t be a warning signal on the last day of a regatta after 3:00 pm.

8 Measurements [DP] [NP] Each boat shall be able to show a valid measurement certifi cate on demand. There is the possibility of random measurement controls.

9 Sailing Instructions The sailing instructions will consist of the instructions in RRS Appendix S, Standard Sailing Instructions, and supplementary sailing instructions that will be on the offi cial notice board located at the southside of the clubhouse between the entrance and the window.

11 Courses Courses to be sailed will be described in the sailing instructions.

12 Penalty System Rule 44.1 is changed, so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.

13 International Jury Not applicable.

14 Scoring When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. When 5 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. When 10 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores. When 15 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her three worst scores.

15 Support Boats [DP] [NP] Due to environmental restrichtions there are no support boats allowed.

16 Berthing Boats shall be kept in their assigned places in the boat park.

17 Haul-out restrictions Not applicable.

18 Radio Communication [DP] Radio Communication Except in an emergency, a boat that is racing shall not make voice or data transmissions and shall not receive voice or data communication that is not available to all boats.

19 Prizes Point prizes will be awarded at least for the best 3 boats of each class.

20 Disclaimer of Liability The responsibility for the decision of the person in charge to participate in a race or to continue with it is solely with him/her, to that extent he/she also takes the responsibility for his/her crew. The helmsman/helmswoman is responsible for the qualification and the correct nautical conduct of his/her crew as well as for the suitability and the transport-safe condition of the registered boat. In cases of Force Majeure or on grounds of administrative orders or for safety reasons the organizer is entitled to make changes in the realisation of the event or to cancel the event. In these cases there does not exist any liability for compensation of the organizer to the participant. In case of a violation of obligations that do not constitute primary respectively material contractual duties (cardinal obligations), the liability of the organizer, no matter because of which cause in law, for material and property damages of all kinds and their consequences that arise to the participant during or in connection with the participation in the event resulting from a conduct of the organizer, his representatives, servants or agents, is restricted to damages that were caused wilfully or grossly negligent. When a violation of cardinal obligations occurs, in cases of simple negligence the liability of the organizer is limited to foreseeable, typically occurring damages. To the extent that the liability for damages of the organizer is excluded or restricted, the participant also relieves the staff – employees and representatives, agents, servants, sponsors and individuals who provide or drive salvage, safety or rescue vessels or assist with their use - from the individual liability for damages, as well as also all other individuals who were instructed to act in connection with the realisation of the event. The effective racing rules of World Sailing, the class rules as well as the regulations of the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions are to be complied with and are expressly recognised. The German law apply.

21 Insurance [DP] Each participating boat shall be insured with valid thirdparty liability insurance with a minimum cover of 1.500.000 € per event or the equivalent.

22 Copyright and Digital Copyright [DP] The hosting club may publish the data of participants (name, club, score) in notices and on his web-site www.scai.bayern.de. The hosting club also may pass the data to press, print or television media. This applies to pictures and other digital data of the participants, which were created during the event.

23 Further Information

23.1 You´ll find further information on our website www.scai.bayern.

23.2 There is the possibility of camping on the meadow next to the club. But due to environmental restrictions any kind of camping is only allowed in the time from 12 am of the day before racing begins until the evening of the last racing day. On the camping-site there is no power-supply available. Campers are asked to park space- saving so there remains enough room for everyone who wants to use the camping area. The local government of Immenstadt, represented by SCAI, charges every person aged more than 16 with 1,50 € “holiday-fee” per day. Persons under 16 pay the half of the fee.

23.4 Underaged persons are not allowed to consume alcohol brought on their own within the property of the SCAI. Beyond that, the legal provisions shall apply for the serving of alcoholic drinks at the clubhouse of the SCAI.

23.5 Raw and continuous nocturnal disturbation may be judged according to rule 69.

23.6 The following abbreviations apply: [NP] denotes that a breach of this rule will not be grounds for a protest by a boat. [DP] denotes a rule for which the penalty is at the discretion of the protest committee and may be less than disqualification. [SP] denotes a rule for which a standard penalty may be applied by the race committee without a hearing.
