Other activities for the Department: • Advisor of the Italian Conversation Table. • Invited a Guest Speaker on Campus Mr. Fred Kuwornu, an Italian-Ghanian film maker for the screening of the docu-film “18 Ius Soli”. It was followed by a discussion on issues of race, ethnicity, and national identity in the “new” multicultural Italy. The screening was co-hosted by World Languages Department, History Department and Multicultural Division (February 9, 2015) • Invited and hosted a lecture and screening with the Producer, the actor and co-director, of the Italian short movie “Like in the movies” presented at the “Thin Line Film and Music Festival 2015” in Denton (February 18-22, 2015.) • Attended to 2014 Annual Convention and World Languages ACTFL Expo in San Antonio TX, as a Member of the “Mentoring Grant Project: Coordinating Across Languages” that involves all the language coordinators of WLLC Dept (November 21-22, 2014) • Advisor for the Italian-Sino Noodle Celebration. A food Journey.
