Sew a 5x7”piece of floral fabric to the top of the outer main fabric and set aside.

All elements are sewn to the lining fabric.

Pocket: make a 1/8” turning at the top and press. Make another turning just over 1/4” deep and press in place. Now close to the edge to make a casing for the elastic. Pin Cushion: a 3”x 3-3/4” rectangle each from wool fabric and scrap fabric. Sew around the edge, right sides together, leaving an opening for turning. Turn to right side, fill with wool or toy filler and close the opening. Pin in place about 6-1/2”from bottom edge and 1-1/2” from side edge. Secure to lining from the wrong side.

Reel keep: cut a 4-1/2”length of ribbon or braid. Make a 3/8”turning on one end and sew the fold to the lining fabric through all thicknesses. Make a 3/8” turning on the other end and sew in place, then attach a press stud to the end, with the other half sewn to the lining, so that the reel fits snugly
