Saverio Clemente Andrea De Amici Luca Targetti
Born in Messina in 1987, he made his debut at the age of 24 with the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina. In July 2012, he made his operatic debut conducting Rossini’s Adina at the Rossini in Wildbad Festival. From october 2015 he has been appointed Principal Conductor of the Orchestra del Teatro Vittorio Emanuele di Messina (Italy).
He studied conducting with Gianandrea Noseda (Master Class at the Milan Conservatory), Donato Renzetti, Gianluigi Gelmetti (Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena), Antonino Fogliani, Vittorio Parisi (Milan Conservatory), Lutz Köhler (UDK Berlin), Giuseppe Lanzetta and Romolo Gessi. He initially graduated in piano at the Conservatoire A. Corelli in Messina, and eventually completed with highest honours his Master Degree in orchestral conducting at the Conservatoire G. Verdi in Milan Maestro Vittorio Parisi’s class. He is currently completing his composition studies in the same Conservatoire under the guidance of Danilo Lorenzini. He completed his training working as assistant conductor to Antonino Fogliani in many reknown theaters, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Nederlandse Reisopera, Teatro Regio di Parma and Teatro Lirico di Cagliari.
He has since been conducting orchestras such as the Orchestra Sinfonica “G. Verdi” di Milano, Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, Orchestra
da Camera Fiorentina, Orchestra del Teatro Vittorio Emanuele di Marco Alibrando Messina, Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta, Orchestra Virtuosi Conductor Brunenses (Czech Republic), Sofia Festival Orchestra, Philharmonische Kammerorchester Wernigerode (Germany), Orchestra di Toscana Classica, Orchestra Accademia del Concerto di Vicenza, Orchestra del Conservatorio di Messina, Trinacria Wind Ensemble, Sikelia Ensemble and the Messina Youth Orchestra, which he founded at the age of 20.
From the late 2014 his conducting activity has become increasingly significant. He had his debuts with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo and subsequently with the Orchestra del Teatro Vittorio Emanuele di Messina, where he conducted a tribute to Leonardo Sciascia, in December 2014 and the traditional New Year’s concert in January 2015. In April 2015, he was re-invited to conduct the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina and the Orchestra di Toscana Classica. In June and July 2015 he was again on the podium of the Orchestra del Teatro Vittorio Emanuele di Messina for the ConcertOpera. In July he made his fist conducting appearance with the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Verdi in Milan in the production of Bluebeard’s Castle by Béla Bartók in the occasion of EXPO 2015.
Highlights of the 2015/16 season at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele included Beethoven 6th symphony directed and choreographed by Micha Van Hoecke, The New Year’s Concert 2016 with Gilda Buttà, Prof. Kubinek meets the Symphony, a concert with the pianist Mario Galeani and La Bohème. In April he conducted a concert with Orchestra di Toscana Classica (Florence) with Luca Buratto (2015 Honens Prize Laureate). Among his other future engagements, he will conduct Duetti Amorosi in
