Broadcasting Details of Esports Demonstration Event during the

18th

(Jakarta, August 26th, 2018)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Esports will be making its debut on a multi-sports event by being part of the 18th

Asian Games in 2018. The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF), as the solely recognized federation for electronic sports (esports) by the OCA, is proud to organize this historical event.

The Asian Games will feature six titles whereby the offline final rounds of competitions will be held at the Britama Arena, Mahaka Square, Jakarta from the

26th August to 1st September.

The AESF recognizes that besides delivering a world-class experience for spectators in the arena, online live streaming forms an integral part of the overall experience and success of the event and esports in general. The AESF has taken all the steps to ensure that the broadcasting production is done to the highest standards and have, for the past few months, been working with various stakeholders. This is

to ensure that esports fans watching at home will also enjoy the high-level competitions which will be held here in Jakarta.

While the AESF recognizes the importance of reaching to as many viewers as possible, there is also a need to adhere to established broadcasting rights set by the

OCA in different countries and regions.

The AESF is working hard to ensure that fans can enjoy the esports competitions held in Jakarta. However, the final decision to broadcast the content solely lies on the right holder of each specific country or region. As such, the AESF does not hold the final say when it comes to broadcast schedules in individual countries due to rights restrictions.
