Martinus Dwi Marianto July 1995 ABSTRACT Surrealist painting flourished in Yogyakarta around the middle of the 1980s to early 1990s. It became popular amongst art students in Yogyakarta, and formed a significant style of painting which generally is characterised by the use of casual juxtapositions of disparate ideas and subjects resulting in absurd, startling, and sometimes disturbing images. In this thesis, Yogyakartan Surrealism is seen as the expression in painting of various social, cultural, and economic developments taking place rapidly and simultaneously in Yogyakarta's urban landscape. -

International Journal of Environmental Science Teddy Takaendengan et al. http://www.iaras.org/iaras/journals/ijes Financing Of Municipal Solid Waste In The City Of Manado Teddy Takaendengan 1), Tri Padmi 2), Emenda Sembiring 3), Enri Damanhuri 4) 1) Post Graduate Program in Environmental Engineering FTSL, ITB Indonesia, Civil Departement, Manado State Polytechnic, Indonesia 2), 3), 4) Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FTSL) , ITB Indonesia e-mail: [email protected] ABSTRACT Basically human life will produce waste, which if not managed properly will cause new problems. To speed up the process of waste disposal to a place that has been planned, it means the waste transport plays an important role. The transport waste was done by vehicles consisting of many types of vehicles, namely 20 units of arm-roll, 20 units of dump-trucks, 10 units of small pick-up trucks, 3 units of wooden box trucks and 2 units of iron box truck. Calculation of the cost of transporting waste is by knowing the volume of waste. Factors affecting the volume of this waste is ritasi number, density, weekdays. For operational costs, factors that influence is the number of vehicle crew (driver + garbage workers). Fuel consumption in a year can be calculated from the distance traveled per ritasi (km / rit), vehicle fuel consumption (km/l) and the prevailing fuel prices. The research result shows that the costs for the transport vehicle Arm Roll truck, is Rp. 55,362 / ton of garbage, Dump Truck, is Rp. 112,574 / ton of garbage, Trucks Cash Iron / wood, is Rp. 159,085 / ton of garbage, to vehicles Car Pick-up, the total cost is Rp. -

Religious Specificities in the Early Sultanate of Banten
Religious Specificities in the Early Sultanate of Banten (Western Java, Indonesia) Gabriel Facal Abstract: This article examines the religious specificities of Banten during the early Islamizing of the region. The main characteristics of this process reside in a link between commerce and Muslim networks, a strong cosmopolitism, a variety of the Islam practices, the large number of brotherhoods’ followers and the popularity of esoteric practices. These specificities implicate that the Islamizing of the region was very progressive within period of time and the processes of conversion also generated inter-influence with local religious practices and cosmologies. As a consequence, the widespread assertion that Banten is a bastion of religious orthodoxy and the image the region suffers today as hosting bases of rigorist movements may be nuanced by the variety of the forms that Islam took through history. The dominant media- centered perspective also eludes the fact that cohabitation between religion and ritual initiation still composes the authority structure. This article aims to contribute to the knowledge of this phenomenon. Keywords: Islam, Banten, sultanate, initiation, commerce, cosmopolitism, brotherhoods. 1 Banten is well-known by historians to have been, during the Dutch colonial period at the XIXth century, a region where the observance of religious duties, like charity (zakat) and the pilgrimage to Mecca (hajj), was stronger than elsewhere in Java1. In the Indonesian popular vision, it is also considered to have been a stronghold against the Dutch occupation, and the Bantenese have the reputation to be rougher than their neighbors, that is the Sundanese. This image is mainly linked to the extended practice of local martial arts (penca) and invulnerability (debus) which are widespread and still transmitted in a number of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). -
