Title: Gloucestershire community first responders and defibrillators
Presented by: Neil Le Chevalier, Director of Operations
Main aim: To update HCOSC members on the current position of CFRs and defibrillators
Recommendations: To note the contents of the report
Community first responders (CFRs) Following a successful campaign in May 2016, a further thirteen CFRs were recruited via NHS Jobs. They have now completed their training and have been going live over the last few weeks. This enables the CFR groups to offer more robust cover in the Lechlade, Fairford, Tewkesbury, Highnam, Sedbury and Stroud areas.
A further recruitment campaign has just closed with 10 members of the public are being interviewed to potentially become CFRs.
A training course is taking place in September/October with a further course planned for February 2017.
With reporting tools on activity profiles, the Trust is able to review each group and work towards matching availability to activity levels.
We currently have CFRs in 40 locations throughout Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire:
Gloucestershire Coleford Coln St Aldwyn Dursley Dymock Fairford Frampton on Severn Gloucester Kempsford Lechlade Lydbrook Lydney Morton in the Marsh Nailsworth Southrop Sedbury
