Turku-Uusikaupunki joukkoliikenteen työmatkapilotti Kysymyksiä ja vastauksia Mikä Turku-Uusikaupunki joukkoliikenteen työmatkapilotti on? Varsinais-Suomen ELY-keskus, Valmet Automotive ja Turun kaupunki järjestävät yhteistyössä uusia joukkoliikennevuoroja Turusta Uuteenkaupunkiin. Liikenne on kaikille avointa, mutta vuorot on ajoitettu autotehtaan työaikoihin sopiviksi ja reitti kulkee Uudenkaupungin linja-autoasemalle tehtaan portin kautta. Tarkoituksena on tarjota vaihtoehto oman auton käytölle työmatkoilla. Nopean yhteyden takaamiseksi vuorot pysähtyvät vain muutamilla pysäkeillä. Työmatkapilotin tarkoituksena on selvittää kyseisen reitin matkustajapotentiaalia. Lisäksi kokeillaan mobiilisovelluksen ominaisuuksia ja käyttökelpoisuutta. Mikäli matkustajamäärät muodostuvat kokeilun aikana riittäviksi, tavoitteena on että liikenne järjestyy jatkossa markkinaehtoisesti ilman viranomais- tai yritystukea. Miksi kokeiluhanke toteutetaan? Pilottihankkeella pyritään osaltaan vastaamaan Varsinais-Suomen positiivisen rakennemuutoksen tarpeisiin. Valmet Automotive rekrytoi kevään 2017 aikana Uudenkaupungin autotehtaalle yli 1 000 uutta työntekijää. Arvion mukaan merkittävä osa uusista työntekijöistä tulee pendelöimään Turun seudulta. Sekä autotehtaan että alueen viranomaisten intressinä on tukea työvoiman liikkuvuutta ja löytää työntekijät avoimiin työpaikkoihin. Työntekijöille halutaan tarjota vaihtoehtoja työmatkan kulkemiseen. Toimivalla joukkoliikenneyhteydellä madalletaan kynnystä hakeutua autotehtaalle töihin ja mahdollistetaan se myös henkilöille, -

The Finnish Archipelago Coast from AD 500 to 1550 – a Zone of Interaction Tapani Tuovinen [email protected], [email protected] Abstract New archaeological, historical, paleoecological and onomastic evidence indicates Iron Age settle- ment on the archipelago coast of Uusimaa, a region which traditionally has been perceived as deso- lated during the Iron Age. This view, which has pertained to large parts of the archipelago coast, can be traced back to the early period of field archaeology, when an initial conception of the archipelago as an unsettled and insignificant territory took form. Over time, the idea has been rendered possible by the unbalance between the archaeological evidence and the written sources, the predominant trend of archaeology towards the mainland (the terrestrical paradigm), and the history culture of wilderness. Wilderness was an important platform for the nationalistic constructions of early Finnishness. The thesis about the Iron Age archipelago as an untouched no-man’s land was a history politically convenient tacit agreement between the Finnish- and the Swedish-minded scholars. It can be seen as a part of the post-war demand for a common view of history. A geographical model of the present-day archaeological, historical and palaeoecological evi- dence of the archipelago coast is suggested. Johanna Leinonen and Auvo Kostiainen This volume is based on a selection of papers presented at Johanna Leinonen and Auvo Kostiainen (Eds.) the conference FinnForum XI: Transnational Finnish Mobili- ties, held in Turku, Finland, in 2016. The twelve chapters dis- cuss two key issues of our time, mobility and transnational- ism, from the perspective of Finnish migration. The volume is divided into four sections. Part I, Mobile Pasts, Finland and Beyond, brings forth how Finland’s past – often imagined TRANSNATIONAL as more sedentary than today’s mobile world – was molded by various short and long-distance mobilities that occurred FINNISH MOBILITIES: both voluntarily and involuntarily. In Part II, Transnational Influences across the Atlantic, the focus is on sociocultural PROCEEDINGS OF transnationalism of Finnish migrants in the early 20th cen- tury United States. Taken together, Parts I and II show how FINNFORUM XI mobility and transnationalism are not unique features of our FINNISH MOBILITIES TRANSNATIONAL time, as scholars tend to portray them. Even before modern communication technologies and modes of transportation, migrants moved back and forth and nurtured transnational ties in various ways. Part III, Making of Contemporary Finn- ish America, examines how Finnishness is understood and maintained in North America today, focusing on the con- cepts of symbolic ethnicity and virtual villages. Part IV, Con- temporary Finnish Mobilities, centers on Finns’ present-day emigration patterns, repatriation experiences, and citizen- ship practices, illustrating how, globally speaking, Finns are privileged in their ability to be mobile and exercise transna- tionalism. Not only is the ability to move spread very uneven- ly, so is the capability to upkeep transnational connections, be they sociocultural, economic, political, or purely symbol- ic. -

Teosta pidetään Aallon uran käännekohtana ja yhtenä maailmansotien välisen moder- nismin kansainvälisesti keskeisimpänä teoksena. Eurooppalainen arkkitehtuuri koki tuolloin valtavan ideologisen muutoksen pyrkiessään vastaamaan yhä nopeammin teollis- tuvan ja kaupungistuvan yhteiskunnan haasteisiin. Aalto tuli kosketuksiin avantgardisti- arkkitehtien kanssa Congrès internationaux d’architecture moderne -järjestön piirissä vuodesta 1929 alkaen. Hän pyrki Paimion parantolassa, siihenastisen uransa haastavim- massa työssä, soveltamaan uutta näkemystään arkkitehtuurista. Työn teoreettisena näkökulmana on ranskalaisen sosiologin Bruno Latourin (1947–) aktiivisesti kehittämä toimijaverkkoteoria, joka korostaa paitsi sosiaalisten, myös materi- aalisten tekijöiden osuutta teknologisten järjestelmien muotoutumisessa. Puolustusvoimat 1 (2) Lounais-Suomen aluetoimisto KUTSUNTAKUULUTUS Kutsunnanalainen on miespuolinen Suomen kansalainen, joka: - kutsuntavuonna täyttää 18 vuotta; - on jäänyt edellisiin kutsuntoihin saapumatta, jollei hänen palveluskelpoisuudestaan ole vielä erikseen tehty päätöstä eikä hän ole täyttänyt tai sinä vuonna täytä 30 vuotta; tai - on määrätty tämän vuoden kutsuntaan uudelleen tarkastettavaksi. Kutsunnanalainen ei ole asevelvollinen, joka on saanut Suomen kansalaisuuden tai päätöksen kansalaisuudesta sinä vuonna, jona hän täyttää 18 vuotta tai sen vuoden jälkeen. Hänet voidaan kuitenkin määrätä muuhun aluetoimiston järjestämään tarkastukseen. Läsnäolovelvollisuus kutsunnassa Kutsunnanalaisen tulee osallistua kutsuntatilaisuuteen henkilökohtaisesti, jollei häntä ole vapautettu läsnaolovelvollisuudesta. Aluetoimisto voi vapauttaa henkilökohtaisesta läsnäolovelvollisuudesta kutsunnassa asevelvollisen: - jolla on vaikea vamma tai sairaus; - joka on osallistunut erikoisjoukkojen valintakokeeseen ja joka on määrätty palvelukseen; tai - joka asuu ulkomailla ja on toimittanut lääkärinlausunnon tai muun luotettavan selvityksen, jonka perusteella hänen palveluskelpoisuutensa voidaan määrittää Kutsunnanalainen, joka ei ole osallistunut kutsuntatilaisuuteen laillisen esteen vuoksi, on velvollinen välittömästi laillisen esteen lakattua näyttämään aluetoimistolle toteen esteensä. SEURAHISTORIOITA YMS. Kokoajat ANTTI O. ARPONEN (kuollut 2015) & VESA-MATTI PELTOLA Lista päivitetty viimeksi 26.5.2021. Tavoitteena on ollut mainita seuroista kaikki olemassaoloajan kotikunnat, mutta eritoten alueliitosten aiheuttamissa kotipaikkamuutoksissa on taatusti lukuisia puutteita. Monilla karjalaisseuroilla on ollut toisen maailmansodan jälkeen alaosastoja eri kunnissa, mutta tällaisia tietoja ei kuntakohtiin ole otettu. Esimerkiksi se, että joidenkin forssalaisseurojen kotikunniksi mainitaan Tammela ja Forssa mutta toisten kotipaikaksi ainoastaan Forssa, ei ole virhe: Forssa irrotettiin Tammelasta 3.12.1921, jonka jälkeen perustettujen seurojen kotikunta on siis ollut alusta asti Forssa. Seurojen entisissä ja myöhemmissä nimissä on varmasti paljonkin puutteita. Kirjojen nimet ja tekijätiedot ovat monelta osin tulkinnanvaraisia. Fennica-tietokannasta näyttää puuttuvan tekijä myös lukuisista sellaisista kirjoista, joiden alkusivuilla tekijä(t) on kerrottu. Monien teosten kannessa on hieman erilainen nimi kuin sisäsivuilla, eikä varsinkaan pitkistä nimistä ole aina helppoa sanoa, mikä osa nimestä olisi syytä kirjata ensimmäiseksi. Toimittanut-termiä on käytetty eritoten takavuosina vaihtelevasti, ja monessa teoksessa ”toimittaja” on tosiasiassa kirjoittanut koko teoksen. Kirjojen nimien sisälle on pääsääntöisesti kirjattu ajatusviivoja pisteiden sijasta selkeyden nimissä. Lehti-, vihko- ja moniste-käsitteet ovat osin hämäriä, mutta tällaisia merkintöjä on mukana, jos tiedossa on selvästi ollut, että kyseessä ei ole varsinainen -

The occurrence and geochemistry of fluorides with special reference to natural waters in Finland. Summary: Geologian tutkimuskeskus, Tutkimusraportti – Geological Survey of Finland, Report of Investigation 149. 40 pages, 11 figures and 8 tables. Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) has collected groundwater samples for chemical analyses in different parts of the country from the 1960s in order to elucidate the geochemical and anthropogenic controls on groundwater quality. One of the most interesting features in the geochemistry of groundwater is the outstandingly high fluoride concentrations in areas composed of a special type of postorogenic granites, i.e. rapakivi granites. The largest rapakivi batholiths are named according to the local names: Wiborg in southeastern Finland, and Laitila, Vehmaa and Ahvenanmaa in southwestern Finland. Coarse-grained K-rich rapakivi granites have higher concentration of fluorine (0.20-0.42%) than other plutonic or metamorphic rocks. The primary fluoride sources for waters are fluorite and fluorapatite, although the common OH- -bearing minerals such as micas and amphiboles, containing elevated amounts of fluorine (0.2-1.1%), contribute likewise to fluorides in water. High fluorine concentrations in rocks are omnipresently reflected as regional fluoride anomalies in soils, groundwater and surface waters. The average F- concentrations in streams and shallow groundwater draining areas composed of rapakivi granites are more than one order of magnitude higher (1-1.5 mg/L) than elsewhere (generally around 0.1 mg/L). -
