Sen vuoksi jalkapalloihmisistä usein tuntuu, että monet asiat on hoidettu käsittämättömästi. Kovalla seuratyöllä iso joukko ihmisiä on kuitenkin yrittänyt rakentaa jalkapallokulttuuria myös Suomeen. Merkkivuotta juhlistettiin toimittamalla kevä?illä Juhlajulkaisu sekä kauden pääg/ttyä varsinaisena juhlapäviinä, 17.10.1998, pidettiin juhlavastaanotto Erinomainen kälrttöarvo. Kuitanummen kentiin kokoushuoneessa. Vuosijuhla pidettiin ravintola Alabamassa samana iltana. Juhlaotteluksi oli nimetty 11.08 Keskuskentåillä pelattu 3.div. ottelu KaaRe - MaPS. Hämmäst5rttåivä suorituslryky. Seurassa pelasi kolme aikuisjoukkuetta ja kaksi juniorijoukkuetta, joista kertyi yhteensä 94 seuraan rekisteröityä lisenssipelaajaa. Seuran edustusjoukkue säilytti paillkansa SPL:n alaisessa 3.div:ssa sijoittuen lohkossaan kolmanueksi. Futsalissa joukkue menestyi hyvin saawttaen Turun Piirissä ensimmZiistii kertaa pelatun piirin mestaruuden. KaaRe2-joukkue pelasi Turun piirin Vl-div:ssa siiilyttäen divisioona pailkansa myös seuraavaksi kaudeksi. KaaRe3 - jouk*.ue pelasi Turun piirin Vtr-div:ss4 jossa joukkue pelasi hyvällä menestyksellä nousten saljaporrasta ylemmåis. KaaRe B-juniorit pelasivat B-jun. Il-div karsintasarjaa. Kauden aikana B-juniodt osallistuivat kahteen Futsal tumaukseen. KaaRe D87-juniorit osallistuivat Turun piirin sarjaan. Harjoinrsottelut pelattiin vaihtevalla menestykseUä, voitot vain TPSA:sta, KaaPoA:sta ja Porin Palloilijoisa, mutta tumauksissa menestyttiin paremmin' Tammikuussa Maskun Taponkedon halliturnauksessa joukkue oii toinen t'äviten loppuottelussa MaPSlle 3-1. Huhtikuussa joul*ue voitti KaaPoA jiirjestiimiin tumauksen Kultanummella. Piiri - Cup: Samaan cup-lohkoon piirin Il-luokassa KaaRe:n kanssa oli arvottu KaaPo ja PIF. Ensimmäisen ottelun KaaPoa våstaan KaaRe hävisi tuloksella 1-2, mutta voitti PIF:n samalla tuloksella. Se ei kuitenkaan riittiinyt jatkoon, koska KaaPon ja PIF:n v2ilisen NOr<rA ottelun voitti KaaPo, joten KaaRe putosi jatkosta. 9ilO Suomen - Cup : Communicator Suomen Cup:ssa tulos oli yhtii huono kuin piiricupissakin. Joukkue hävisi ensimmiiisellä kierroksella Ter2ikselle tuloksella 0-3 ja karsiutui jatkosta. Taskuun mahtuvassa Nokia 9110 Communicatorissa on puhelin, faksi, sähköposti, ja yhteyden Futsal : kalenteri sillä saa internettiin. Kaiken lisåksi Nokia Communicatorilla voi Turun piirissä pelattiin Futsal:ssa ensimmiiistä kertaa piirinmestaruudesta kaudella lähettää digitaalisia kuvia toiseen Communicatoflin tai tietokoneeseen.     PORT OF NAANTALI PORT AND TERMINAL HANDBOOK N 60◦ 27´N E 22◦ 03´E 2 SERVING TRADE AND INDUSTRY The Port of Naantali serves the trade in a wide range of the hin- terland as well as the industry close to the port. Industrial en- terprises and factories (e.g. oil refinery, lubricant factory, coal power plant, betaine factory, grain silos etc.) operating in the immediate vicinity of the harbour generate large material flows. Easy ice condition in wintertime and one of the deepest fairways and quays in Finland, up to 15,3 m, enable Aframax tankers and Panamax size bulk carriers loading and/or discharging regularly at the port. Moreover, the short sea voyage and frequent ferry connection to Sweden make Naantali the most important cargo hub between Finland and Scandinavia. Partly, for these reasons, Naantali is today 4th largest universal cargo port in Finland. The total annual traffic to and from the port ( transported via the port`s quays and/or water areas) is ca. 6,8 million tons, of which 80 % is foreign traffic. The main volumes come from liquid and dry bulk materials and ferry goods. The Port of Naantali is one of the busiest cargo ports in Finland with ca. 2000 annual number of vessel calls. VALUE ADDED SERVICES Naantali is a long time known as a significant centre for dry bulk goods operations, thanks to excellent storage facilities and all- round value-added services. Naantali is one of the largest ports e.g. for coal, grain and cement cargo handling in Finland. The port handles and stores also fertilizers, feed stuff and other agri- bulk materials as well as different type of recycling materials.

Liikenne on kaikille avointa, mutta vuorot on ajoitettu autotehtaan työaikoihin sopiviksi ja reitti kulkee Uudenkaupungin linja-autoasemalle tehtaan portin kautta. Tarkoituksena on tarjota vaihtoehto oman auton käytölle työmatkoilla. Nopean yhteyden takaamiseksi vuorot pysähtyvät vain muutamilla pysäkeillä. Työmatkapilotin tarkoituksena on selvittää kyseisen reitin matkustajapotentiaalia. Lisäksi kokeillaan mobiilisovelluksen ominaisuuksia ja käyttökelpoisuutta. Mikäli matkustajamäärät muodostuvat kokeilun aikana riittäviksi, tavoitteena on että liikenne järjestyy jatkossa markkinaehtoisesti ilman viranomais- tai yritystukea. Miksi kokeiluhanke toteutetaan? Pilottihankkeella pyritään osaltaan vastaamaan Varsinais-Suomen positiivisen rakennemuutoksen tarpeisiin. Valmet Automotive rekrytoi kevään 2017 aikana Uudenkaupungin autotehtaalle yli 1 000 uutta työntekijää. Arvion mukaan merkittävä osa uusista työntekijöistä tulee pendelöimään Turun seudulta. Sekä autotehtaan että alueen viranomaisten intressinä on tukea työvoiman liikkuvuutta ja löytää työntekijät avoimiin työpaikkoihin. Työntekijöille halutaan tarjota vaihtoehtoja työmatkan kulkemiseen. Toimivalla joukkoliikenneyhteydellä madalletaan kynnystä hakeutua autotehtaalle töihin ja mahdollistetaan se myös henkilöille,

Two of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Finland are located in Rauma. One of the sites, Old Rauma, is an extensive, uniform wood-built town district dating back to the Middle Ages. Old Rauma is a living town district where historical heritage lives on in perfect harmony with modern commerce and local residents. You’ll find an ample range of high-quality cafes, restaurants and charming little boutiques there. The idyllic ambience is complemented by museums, lovely gardens, the marketplace and the impressive medieval Church of the Holy Cross. The other World Heritage Site is the Bronze Age cairn cemetery of Sammallahdenmäki. The stone structures at Sammallahdenmäki – Bronze Age burial cairns built on rocks – bear evidence to the early settlement. Colourful maritime past Seafaring has for centuries brought an international flavour to the life of this small town. Rauma has always earned its livelihood from the sea and in addition has a long tradition of overseas trade, thereby adopting influences from faraway lands. The three tourist islands of Rauma – the Kylmäpihlaja lighthouse island, the Kuuskajaskari fortress island and the Reksaari nature island – are located just off the coast of the town. The archipelago of Rauma belongs to the Bothnian Sea National Park and provides a splendid, memorable setting for those who love the sea and the great outdoors.

    The Finnish Archipelago Coast from AD 500 to 1550 – a Zone of Interaction Tapani Tuovinen [email protected], [email protected] Abstract New archaeological, historical, paleoecological and onomastic evidence indicates Iron Age settle- ment on the archipelago coast of Uusimaa, a region which traditionally has been perceived as deso- lated during the Iron Age. This view, which has pertained to large parts of the archipelago coast, can be traced back to the early period of field archaeology, when an initial conception of the archipelago as an unsettled and insignificant territory took form. Over time, the idea has been rendered possible by the unbalance between the archaeological evidence and the written sources, the predominant trend of archaeology towards the mainland (the terrestrical paradigm), and the history culture of wilderness. Wilderness was an important platform for the nationalistic constructions of early Finnishness. The thesis about the Iron Age archipelago as an untouched no-man’s land was a history politically convenient tacit agreement between the Finnish- and the Swedish-minded scholars. It can be seen as a part of the post-war demand for a common view of history. A geographical model of the present-day archaeological, historical and palaeoecological evi- dence of the archipelago coast is suggested.
