Th e research was limited to the period from the rise of sanitary aviation until the outbreak of the Second World War. Th e fi rst part of the article examines the development of sanitary aviation in the world. It includes mainly technical aspects starting from free balloons, fl ying ambulances and the fi rst sanitary airplanes. Th e article also examines the legal aspects pertaining to the International Conference of the Red Cross in 1925. Th e main part of the article is concerned with the development of sanitary aviation in Poland. Th e history is divided into two parts, 1924-1927 and 1927-1939. Th e division was based on the legal act regulating the principles of operation of sanitary aviation, which changed its further development. Keywords: aviation, medical rescue, sanitary aviation, history Introduction Th e basic operations of medical rescue teams consist in instant help in the event of accidents. In Poland, rescue operations with air transport are carried out by the Independent Public Establishment of Healthcare Aviation Emergency Unit (SP ZOZ LPR) which ensures help for each person in a situation that involves sudden health risk.     MAREK PIOTR DESZCZ YŃSKI Polski eksport sprzętu wojskowego w okresie międzywojennym (Zarys problematyki) Niemal nazajutrz po klęsce wrześniowej, wśród rozmaitych oskarżeń wysu­ wanych przeciwko ancien régime' owi pojawił się zarzut mówiący o sprzedaży za granicę jeszcze wiosną i latem 1939 r. uzbrojenia potrzebnego polskiej armii, podczas gdy we Wrześniu nad Polską prawie bezkarnie operowały samoloty Luftwaffe, a naszą piechotę rozjeżdżały niemieckie czołgi. Odpowiedzialnością za ten proceder, mający — jak sugerowano — być jedną z przyczyn odniesionej porażki, obciążano Naczelnego Wodza marsz. Edwarda Śmigłego-Rydza, szefa Sztabu Głównego gen. bryg. Wacława Stachiewicza, ministra spraw wojskowych gen. dyw. Tadeusza Kasprzyckiego oraz ich bezpośrednich podwładnych. Eks­ ploatowane przez otoczenie nowego premiera i Naczelnego Wodza gen. dyw. Władysława Sikorskiego, przesadzone i częstokroć przeinaczone dane na ten temat miały uzasadniać — pośród innych przywołanych jednostkowych faktów lub ukutych na poczekaniu mitów — tezę o niedołęstwie, czy wręcz głupocie władz wojskowych przedwrześniowej Polski1. Pierwsze rzeczowe informacje o sprzedaży broni za granicę, przekazywali ludzie odpowiedzialni za stan polskiego potencjału obronnego. Jednakże wyjaś­ nienia internowanego w Rumunii byłego II wiceministra spraw wojskowych gen. bryg. inż. Aleksandra Litwinowicza2 nie mogły dotrzeć do szerszych kręgów. Dopiero zamieszczone na łamach prasy emigracyjnej artykuły ppłk. Władysława Ostrowskiego3, płk. dr. Tadeusza Felsztyna4 i innych oficerów zaznajomiły opinię publiczną na obczyźnie z tym zagadnieniem.
