Dhanbad Municipal Corporation (DMC), a local body responsible for providing basic services viz., roads, water supply & sewerage, health & sanitation, storm water disposal and housing schemes in the city of Dhanbad, Jharkhand intended to provide Houses under JNNURM BSUP scheme. About BSUP: Administered by the Ministry of Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation, Government of India, Basic Services to the Urban Poor (BSUP) is a sub-mission under Government of India’s flagship scheme, JNNURM. As a permanent measure to meet the housing project, DMC engaged IPE Global (formerly Infrastructure Professionals Enterprise Private Limited) for preparation of DPRs covering areas under DMC. The main thrust of the Sub-Mission for BSUP under JNNURM is on integrated development of slums through projects for providing shelter, basic services and other related civic amenities to improve the quality of life of the urban poor and integrate them into the main stream.

Detailed Description of the Actual Services Provided by your Firm:

 Detailed study and feasibility studies of various municipal amenities like water supply, sanitation, drainage, roads etc. to be provided under the project.  Conducted studies for In-situ up-gradation of existing housing stock and services to be retained.  Conducted detailed Topographical Survey and Geotechnical Investigations in the study area.  Developed Detailed Engineering Designs and Cost Estimates for entire housing project including civic amenities viz. water supply, sewerage, roads/ streets, storm water drainage, solid waste management, street lighting, health centre, primary school, night shelter and other urban infrastructure.  Prepared a complete and comprehensive Housing project plan including implementation plan with phasing of work and standard type project and plans.  Conducted Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) and Socio Economic Analysis.  Developed conceptual Finance Operating Plans, possible PPP and other revenue generation measures, monitoring methodologies and prepared Bid Documents and bid process management.  Provided all necessary assistance and clarifications to DMC during the project appraisal/ approval at different stages like State Level Screening Committee (SLSC), Appraisal authority of Government of India and Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) of Government of India.
