What does this Index rate? It measures how American businesses treat their LGBT employees. It evaluates policies, practices and diversity efforts relating to LGBT work, including non-discrimination policies, benefits, diversity training and external support for LGBT consumers and job seekers. How often has Jenner & Block earned a perfect score? The firm has attained the 100 percent rating for nine consecutive years.

What defines a “Best LGBT Lawyer Under 40”? According to the National LGBT Bar Association, these lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender legal professionals have “distinguished themselves in their field and demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBT equality.” They also have made “unique contributions to the fight for equality.” How many firm lawyers have made this list? Four since the award was first presented in 2010: a partner in 2010; an associate in 2011; two partners in 2012; and two associates in 2014.
