Works Committee Councillor R. Roger submitted the following report to Report Council on behalf of the Works Committee: 191-65 Requests have been received for a number of roads and drainage projects in our Municipality. Among these is a request by way of a petition, signed by some fifteen ratepayers, located

November 15, 2166. in the Perry Road area, whereby we are requested to widen the roadbed, etc.. As this particular project would call for the use of such equipment as a bulldozer, front-end loader, "etcv, and as we would be entitled to only a small per- centage of the overall cost in the way of a Winter Works grant, as "most-of the work would be done by machinery, the Works Committee does not intend to proceed with the Perry Road job this year. We have investigated a ratepayer's request to open Allen Street, from Maple Grove to Garden Road, and we are of the opinion that while this project may prove necessary in a few years, and as we have other projects which are more urgent at this time, the Allen Stréet job will not be done for a few years yet. This also applies to the Alexander Bay Ratepayers' request for a new road from No. 8 Highway to their subdivision. Councillor R. Roger stated that drainage improvements in 1966, would take precedence over road improvements. The report was unanimously accepted by Council on motion MOVED by Councillor R. Roger, SECONDED by Councillor G. Nadeau.
