Feast Your Eyes on the Clothes of the Stars…

Read and listen. Feast your eyes on the clothes of the stars…

Who wears the coolest clothes on the planet? That’s right. The Hollywood film stars and the pop stars that we see every day on TV wear the most outrageous clothes in the world! And if you eat in one of the two most famous restaurants in , you can see amazing outfits worn by the stars, as you eat lunch or dinner!

At Planet Hollywood and the Hard Rock Café you can ‘feast your eyes’ on items of clothing such as Madonna’s black leather jacket, Doors’ singer Jim Morrison’s trousers, Bob Dylan’s jacket, and other clothes from actors like , and music heroes like the Rolling Stones. Both restaurants have amazing collections of outfits worn by the rich and famous, hanging on the restaurant walls.

Planet Hollywood opened in America, in October 1991, with money from some very well-known people, including , Bruce Willis, and . The restaurant in was a big success and other restaurants opened all over the world – including London, of course.

In fact, it is the oldest rock-and roll theme café in London, if not the world!

The first cafe was opened in London’s Piccadilly area on June 14th 1971, and it was an overnight success. It offered good- quality American food at reasonable prices, with friendly service and, naturally, rock-and-roll music in the background.

Today there are 121 Hard Rock Cafés in over 40 countries. They have lots of clothes and objects that once belonged to famous pop stars on display. Some pop stars donate their clothes, and sometimes the Hard Rock Café pays a lot of money for them, but it’s worth it. Eating a burger next to Jimi Hendrix’s white leather jacket is certainly an incredible experience!
