Experiential Adventure Candytopia Arrives in Dallas This April Tickets On-Sale Beginning March 19, 2019 EXPERIENTIAL ADVENTURE CANDYTOPIA ARRIVES IN DALLAS THIS APRIL TICKETS ON-SALE BEGINNING MARCH 19, 2019 Colossal Candy Creations, Flying Unicorn Pigs and Marshmallow Tsunamis to Invade Dallas this April March 12, 2019 -- Candytopia, the candy-coated experiential adventure that has delighted over half a million guests across the country, is thrilled to announce it will be bringing its confectionery wonderland to Dallas, for a limited-run engagement beginning this April. Candytopia Dallas will make its Texas debut at The Hill (8021 Walnut Hill Ln #2000, Dallas, TX 75231), a modern mixed- use retail and restaurant development located at Walnut Hill Lane and North Central Expressway. Candytopia features more than one dozen rooms with larger-than-life interactive art installations and full sensory experiences. The marshmallowy mini-theme park launched in 2018 in Santa Monica followed by successful runs in San Francisco and New York, and recent openings in Atlanta and Minneapolis. All Candytopia locations have attracted long lines with tickets selling out quickly. Candytopia Dallas will feature the most popular attractions from its past locations along with new elements inspired by local culture and landmarks unique to the city.     ABSTRACT “WHY SO SERIOUS?” COMICS, FILM AND POLITICS, OR THE COMIC BOOK FILM AS THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION OF IDENTITY AND NARRATIVE IN A POST-9/11 WORLD by Kyle Andrew Moody This thesis analyzes a trend in a subgenre of motion pictures that are designed to not only entertain, but also provide a message for the modern world after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The analysis provides a critical look at three different films as artifacts of post-9/11 culture, showing how the integration of certain elements made them allegorical works regarding the status of the United States in the aftermath of the attacks. Jean Baudrillard‟s postmodern theory of simulation and simulacra was utilized to provide a context for the films that tap into themes reflecting post-9/11 reality.
