This figure, however, include surplu3 Indes£6 w ne svolume o x t receivee salth e f th e o sn d o 25-4 8 of the Proceedings, so perhaps a fairer average increase for the year would be between £200 and £250. Ninety-two new Fellows elected and paid-up joined during the year and it is pleasing to note that over a one-third of these were under 30 years of age - a very healthy sign - and it is hoped they will make the fullest use of all the facilities the Society can offer. Turning to Expenditure, economies effected in the Treasurer's section are reflected in the Accounts and the cost of volume 99 of the Proceedings is much down on the previous year's double volume - it must be noticed here that nearly the whole of the cost of the blocks for volume 99 has been charged in the previous surplu e yearth o £1,19,s f so swolle7s i thao nt t extent. It is to be expected that higher costs will have to be met in connection with the Society's productions, whild an t shoulei possible db maintaio et presene nth t high standar presentationf do t wili , l e havb o et paid for - at present this is possible.
