ส ำหรับครู

แบบฝึกทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจ ตามแนวการสอนภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการ สื่อสารเล่มนี้ใช้เป็นสื่อการเรียนรู้ประกอบแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้รายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษพื้นฐาน รหัสวิชา อ32101 ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โดยมีขั้นตอนการจัดกิจกรรม ดังนี้ 1. ครูแจกแบบฝึกทักษะเล่มที่ 1เรื่อง The Graceful temple ให้นักเรียนทุกคนและแจ้ง รายละเอียดของแบบฝึก โดยแบบฝึกทักษะเล่มนี้ใช้เวลาในการท าแบบฝึก 3 ชั่วโมง 2. ครูอธิบายจุดประสงค์ในการเรียนส าหรับแบบฝึกทักษะเล่มที่ 1เรื่อง The Graceful temple ให้นักเรียนเข้าใจ 3. ทดสอบความรู้ก่อนเรียน เพื่อวัดความรู้พื้นฐานของนักเรียนแต่ละคน 4. ครูให้นักเรียนอ่านเนื้อเรื่องที่อยู่ในแบบฝึกทักษะ โดยศึกษาท าความเข้าใจเนื้อหาอธิบาย ซักถามประกอบแล้วให้นักเรียนท าแบบฝึกทักษะในแต่ละกิจกรรม 5. ก่อนท าแบบฝึกทักษะในแต่ละกิจกรรม ครูผู้สอนควรเน้นให้นักเรียนอ่านและท าความเข้าใจกับ ค าสั่งให้ชัดเจน 6. ให้นักเรียนตรวจสอบค าตอบท้ายเล่ม เมื่อนักเรียนท ากิจกรรมตามแบบฝึกเสริมทักษะจบแล้ว เพื่อทราบผลการเรียนรู้ของตนเอง 7. ให้นักเรียนท าแบบทดสอบหลังเรียนในแบบฝึกทักษะ แล้วให้นักเรียนสลับกันตรวจแบบทดสอบ จากค าตอบท้ายเล่ม และบันทึกผลการทดสอบหลังเรียนไว้ 8. ครูแจ้งคะแนนให้นักเรียนทราบ และชมเชยนักเรียน 9. ครูผู้สอนควรเสริมแรงจูงใจเมื่อนักเรียนได้เรียนรู้และท าแบบฝึกทักษะในแต่ละกิจกรรมอย่าง สม่ าเสมอ 10. ครูต้องคอบควบคุม ดูแล ก ากับ ตรวจสอบหรือคอยให้ค าแนะน านักเรียนตลอดเวลาที่นักเรียน ท าแบบฝึกทักษะต่าง ๆ หากนักเรียนมีข้อสงสัย หรือไม่เข้าใจในบางกิจกรรม

แบบฝึกทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจ ตามแนวการสอนภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการ สื่อสาร ชุด Check in now! รายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษพื้นฐาน รหัสวิชา อ32101 ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ชุดนี้ จัดท าขึ้นเพื่อใช้เป็นนวัตกรรมส าหรับจัดการเรียนรู้เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจ ตามแนวการสอนภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ดังนั้นเพื่อประสิทธิภาพใน การจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยแบบฝึกทักษะภาษาอังกฤษนี้ นักเรียนจึงควรมีวินัยในการเรียนรู้ และปฏิบัติตาม ค าแนะน าดังต่อไปนี้ 1. ฟังค าแนะน าวิธีการใช้แบบฝึกทักษะ เกณฑ์การวัดผลและประเมินผลจากครูผู้สอนให้ เข้าใจ 2. อ่านและท าแบบทดสอบก่อนเรียนตามที่ก าหนดไว้ในแบบฝึกทักษะให้ครบทุกกิจกรรม 3. ท าความเข้าใจค าชี้แจง และค าสั่งก่อนลงมือปฏิบัติกิจกรรมในแบบฝึกทักษะต่าง ๆ ตั้งใจ ศึกษาเนื้อหาในแบบฝึกทักษะให้เข้าใจ แล้วลงมือปฏิบัติกิจกรรมตามที่ก าหนดไว้ในแบบฝึก ทักษะ 4. อ่านทบทวนแบบฝึกทักษะแต่ละกิจกรรมที่ท าทุกครั้งก่อนส่งครู เพื่อตรวจทานความถูกต้อง 5. ส ารวจตนเองว่าท าคะแนนในแบบฝึกทักษะในแต่ละกิจกรรมและแบบประเมินต่าง ๆ ผ่าน เกณฑ์อยู่ในระดับใด เพื่อแก้ไขข้อบกพร่องและพัฒนาตนเองให้มีความสามารถมากขึ้น 6. ถ้านักเรียนมีข้อสงสัยเกี่ยวกับการเรียนการสอนโดยการใช้แบบฝึกทักษะภาษาอังกฤษฉบับ นี้ ควรสอบถามจากครูผู้สอน

The Wat Phra Kaew (English: Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Thai : วัดพระแก้ว ; full official name : Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram, Thai : วัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม) is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple (wat) in Thailand. It is located in the historic center of Bangkok (district Phra Nakhon), within the grounds of the Grand Palace. Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram, generally called the temple of the Emerald Buddha, is a temple built to house the statue of Buddha. Chaophraya Chakri who became King Rama I, brought this statue of Buddha from Vientiane when he captured the city. King Rama I built the temple and enshrined the Emerald Buddha there. The Emerald Buddha temple does not house any monks.

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha sits within the grounds of the Bangkok Grand Palace, surrounded by walls more than a mile long. Inside, it contains some of the finest examples of Buddhist sculpture, architecture, painting, and decorative craft in Thailand The Emerald Buddha sits atop a huge gold altar in the center of the temple. It is a rather small, dark statue, just over 2 feet tall, made of green jasper or perhaps jadeite ("emerald" refers to the intense green color, not the specific stone). Like many other Buddha statues in Thailand, the Emerald Buddha is covered in a seasonal costume, which is changed three times a year to correspond to the summer (crown and jewelry), winter (golden shawl), and rainy months (gilt robe and headdress).

Wat Saket’s major feature is the Golden Mount. It is an artificial hill topped by a gilded pagoda which is 260 feet in height from its base. Begun by King Rama III and completed in the reign of King Rama IV, the golden mount is one of the most celebrated landmarks in Bangkok’s old area. The golden Chedi houses relics of Buddha and affords visitors who climb its 318 steps a panoramic view of Bangkok from the top. Wat Saket, the official name being Wat Saket Ratch Woramaha Wiharn, is an old temple that was built in the period of Ayutthaya and originally known as "Wat Sakae." Every late October to mid-November (for 9 days around the full moon) Wat Saket hosts Bangkok's most important temple fair during the Loy Kratong festival. During this event, the Golden Mount is wrapped with red cloth and a carnival erupts around it, with food and trinket stalls, theatrical performances, freak shows, animal circuses, and other monkey business. The festival includes a candlelight procession up the Golden Mount. Wat Saket looks like a fairy tale, especially in the evenings with all the lights on. Passage 3 : Wat Chalong (Chalong Temple)

Directions: Read the passage and do the following exercises. Wat Chalong Wat Chalong is officially called 'Wat Chaitararam' by royal decree but it is not commonly used. Located in the northern part of Tambol Chalong ('tambol' means sub- district in Thai) on Chao Fa West Rd, the wat is close to many local attractions. The name 'Chalong' means 'festival' in Thai - many years ago the area was named 'Chalang' after locals, fearing Burmese invaders, moved from Thalang district. However, the Thai government pointed out that no such word existed in the Thai language and ordered local officials to change the name. In 1876, during the reign of King Rama V, Chalong came under threat from the Ang-Yee Rebellion - a large mob of rioting immigrant Chinese tin-mine workers that had been rampaging across the island. Local people were terrified. They did not know where to turn. Should they stay and fight? Should they run away? They finally went to Luang Pho Chaem (1827-1908), Abbot of Wat Chalong. The highly revered monk told them simply, "I have been here a long time, and I am staying." Hearing this, the people decided to stay and fight off the Ang-Yee. This they succeeded in doing and later, with the help of soldiers rushed from Bangkok, the rebellion was put down. To show appreciation, the King bestowed upon Luang Po Chaem the title of Phra Kru Wisit Wongsacharn. These days, almost everyone in Thailand is familiar with the name of this remarkable monk.

Luang Poh Cham's walking stick is the subject of many tales. Apparently it had many healing qualities and, as mentioned, it is in the possession of the current Abbot. One of King Rama V's wives was cured of acute stomachache by its touch. Chalong Temple or Wat Chaitararam was widely known as a holy temple containing Luang Po Cham‘s sacredness. Luang Poh Chamwas a monk who held sanctuary for ordinary people in the period of fighting with the Augyee (Chinese people who made a coup at that time).The history of the temple began when Luang Poh Chamgave a white holy piece of cloth to every villager to wrap around their head. By doing this, the villagers felt optimistic and it gave them the strength to defeat the enemy. (At that time Augyee called the villagers Pouk Hao Khao ). After the period of Rama V, Luang Poh Cham was appointed as Prakru Wisutiwongsajarnyanmunee who the villagers always respected. When there was any suffering, the villagers prayed to Luang Poh Cham to release their suffering. It has also been said that the walking stick of Luang Poh Cham was very sacred. If anybody had a mole or birthmark on an undesirable part of the body, the walking stick was used to stab it. After this, the birthmark would diminish in size and fade.
