Affiliation No. 19179 Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 28th-31st August, 2019. 6 GOLD RING COMMENCING AT 8.30 AM VETERANS HORSE SOCIETY- AREA QUALIFIER First round qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2019 The Veteran Horse Society receives sponsorship from Allen & Page. Open to members and non-members. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. VHS Regional Final qualification. All competitors placed 1st to 4th in each Area Qualifier class will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals. Members must carry their card in the ring at all times and have their showing card signed by the judge as proof of qualification. Non-members will receive a red qualification card which can be exchanged for signed showing card when applying for VHS membership. It is the competitors responsibility to present their Showing card to the judge.Regional Finals are open to members only.All competitors are eligible to enter open classes at the National Veteran Championships, 27th-29th September 2019, Arena UK, Lincs. 8 *2305A SIDE SADDLE ASSOCIATION Not before 2.30 PM Class 89 The Side Saddle Association Equitation Championships Adult Qualifying Class Run under SSA rules defined in the current Members’ Handbook. Open to SSA Adult Members and Non-Members aged 18 or over on 1st January of the current year. Members carrying their current Championship Points Cards are eligible for SSA rosettes to 3rd place and SSA Championship Points. A rosette in memory of The Late Mr R Philpot is offered to the Adult Member, judged to be the best turned out.

Class 90 Equitation Championships Junior Qualifying Class Run under SSA rules defined in the current Members’ Handbook. Open to SSAJunior Members and Non-Membersaged under 18 on 1st January of the current year.Members carrying their current Championship Points Cards are eligible for SSA rosettes to 3rd place and SSA Championship Points. Southernden Farm offers a rosette to the highest placed Memberaged under 14on 1st January of the current year.Manor Grange Stud Show Centre offer a rosette to the Junior Member, judged to be the best turned out.Hats to current Safety Standards or above must be worn.

Class 91 Best Horse or Pony ridden side saddle. Open to horses and ponies 4 years old or over: conformation & manners will be taken into consideration; horses/ponies will not be stripped. A Special rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Adult and Junior Members of the SSA carrying their current Championship Points Cards. The highest placed horse or pony aged 16 years or over receives a Special Rosette kindly sponsored by Constance, Lady Bayliss. The Highest placed coloured exhibit (who has not already qualified) receives a Special Rosette and qualifies for the Side Saddle Final at the CHAPS Championship Show. Open to any type of exhibit. Riders must be 16 or over. Riders/Owners need not be a member, or their exhibit registered with CHAPS at the time of qualification, but in order to compete at the Championships, the Rider/Owner must be a showing member and their horse/pony registered with CHAPS before entering the final.

Class 92 Side Saddle Riding Horse/Pony Class The Judge must be on the current SSAor other appropriate Judging Panels•Open to horses and ponies 4 years old or over. Riders will be required to give a short show including a small jump, maximum 61cm (2’). The height may be adjusted during the course of the class at the Judge’s discretion. The class shall be judged on the show, the manners of horse/pony and its suitability for the rider. Conformation will not be considered. A Special rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Adult and Junior Members of the SSA carrying their current Championship Points Cards. Hats to current Safety Standard or above must be worn.

Class 93 Side Saddle Costume Concours Elegance The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse/pony and rider, and the way of going of the horse/pony. Safe tack must be used. Detailed inspection of the rider’s period costume is not required. Fancy dress is not permitted. Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. No individual show is required, but the judge may small groups of 3 or 4 riders to give short displays. A Special rosette will be awarded to the highest placed Adult and Junior Members of the SSA carrying their current Championship Points Card. Competitors should produce a brief résumé about theircostumes for the . Juniors must wear hats to current Safety Standard or above for this class. Adult riders not wearing such hats do so at their own risk.

Side Saddle Championship The Gold HOPE Challenge Trophy 1st and 2nd from Classes 89 9 *2305A SILVER RING COMMENCING AT 8.30 AM WORLD BREED CLASSES APHS FBFS Qualifier. 1st placed animals of all foreign breeds or breed specific, eg. Mini, Arab, Foreign Breeds, Appaloosa, BM Spotted etc. British Appaloosa Society Certificate of Merit will be awarded to the highest place BApS member with a BApS registered horse. Membership cards must be shown to claim your award. H.O.P.E. RULES AND AFFILIATIONS

1. The Promoters, Organisers, Committee and Landowners (’The Committee) shall not be liable for any claim in respect of any damage to any person, horse or other property of any land howsoever it may have been caused. It is an express condition of entry, that each competitor shall hold the Committee harmless and that he or she shall indemnity the Committee against any legal proceedings, actions, expenses, costs, claims, demands or damage whatsoever arising from any accident or other incident which may occur. 2. All vehicles parked at their owners risk. 3. Entries to be accompanied by the appropriate fee and will not be acknowledged unless an SAE is enclosed. Numbers to be collected from the Secretary on the day. 4. No of entry fee unless the Show has to be cancelled for any reason. Should this be deemed necessary, the Organisers reserve the right to retain up to 50% of any entry fee paid to cover pre-Show expenses. 5. The Judges decision is final. 6. Any objection must be handed to the Secretary in writing within 10 minutes of the incident accompanied by a £25 deposit which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld. 7. No unauthorised person allowed in the Show ring. 8. Hard hats to current safety standards must be worn at all times when mounted and by Young Handlers 9. No galloping allowed on the Show ground. This includes the parking areas. 10. All dogs must be kept on leads. 11. Foals must be at least four weeks old (shetlands three weeks) and accompany their dams into the Showing ring. 12. All stallions and colts SHOULD be adequately bitted. Yearling colts may be led from the nose band with a bit in the mouth. 13 Spurs at all times must be of blunt, smooth metal, no rowels, shanks pointing only towards the rear, curved downwards and must be no more than 3.5 cm long. 14. It is recommended that all entries have been inoculated against equine influenza. 15. Information from entry forms may be stored on computer; information about results may also be published and/or provided to the Press and Breed Societies for publication. The making of an entry is irrevocable consent for the storage and disclosure of information in this way. 16. All subcontractors exhibitors suppliers and stall holders must have suitable insurance in place.

TSR Showing Finals- This show is a qualifier for the 2019 TSR Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Regional Finals Central, East Anglia, Norht West, North East, South East, South Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter horse/pony in any number of Finals.

TSR Riders Finals 1st and 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR In Hand Finals The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward. SPSBS AFFILIATION RULES 2019 1. Classes must be confined to Registered Ponies. Ponies must be named onthe entry form and in the catalogue if one is produced. Society rosettes mustonly be given to ponies registered with the Society or eligible for registration(i.e. foals) 2. Three year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three weeks old on the day of the Show. All entire males aged 2 yearsand over must a stallion disc. 3. There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handlers classes. Children under 14 yrs old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in In-hand classes.Children under 12 yrs old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interests of safety, hard hats must be worn by all handlers aged 14 yrs or under in In-hand classes. Exhibitors should not kneel but remain standing while in the ring. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors, irrespective of age, in ridden classes. In ridden Classes, if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part.

Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA) Show Number 19/3006/3/ULT TGCA TOYS In Hand and Ridden Classes Pure Bred classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association's(TGCA) National Breed Championship Show “TOYS”.Classes are open to all pure bred traditional gypsy cobs. Part Bred classes, are open to all part bred traditional gypsy cobs and are qualifiers for the part bred finals at“TOYS”. The exhibit must have one parent that is pure bred traditional gypsy cob, a minimum of 50% breeding is accepted. Stallions–Allstallions (pure or part bred, four years and over) in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class MUST have be TGCA registered, have passed TGCA evaluations and their TGCA stallion disc displayed on their Stallions and colts over the age of two, MUST be shown in a stallion bridle with a metal bit and chain lead as per the current TGCA rulebook. Existing TGCA members must present their qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature. Non-members MUST receive a qualification card from the judge and have 21 days to join the TGCA and register their horse to validate the qualification. Side Saddle Association Rules 1.All classes shall be ridden side saddle 2.Classes may be divided for the purposes of preliminary judging if numbers require 3.Judges’ decisions are final 4.Entries close 26th April 2019. LATE ENTRIES will be accepted if classes are not already full, but at an additional cost(see H.O..P.E. Schedule) 5.The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry and to alter, amalgamate or cancel classes 6.All dogs to be on non-extending leads 7.All competitors and those in attendance are reminded of their individual responsibilities with regard to Health & Safety, not only to themselves but others on the show ground.This responsibility extends to safe parking of vehicles and management of horses/ponies 8.No responsibility will be accepted by SSA Area 5 for any accident howsoever it is caused 9.FALLS: A fall of horse/pony or rider in any class run under Side Saddle Association rules will result in disqualification, and the rider must leave the ring dismounted.
