The fellowship is centered in a collaborative practice with primary faculty from OB-GYN, Colorectal Surgery, and Urology. Fellows will be proficient in conservative and surgical management of urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse disorders, pelvic pain and voiding dysfunction. As part of surgical management, fellows are trained primarily in vaginal and laparoscopic/robotic approaches to pelvic reconstructive surgery. A broad based clinical exposure allows for experience in office diagnostic testing such as urodynamics, office cystoscopy, & anal manometry as well as office-based therapeutic procedures such as PNE. Fellows run their own Urodynamic and Interstim clinics under attending supervision. The training includes further clinical rotations/experience with the Pelvic Pain Center, Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy, and Gastroenterology. At the start of fellowship, trainees select a track from Research, Quality Improvement Science, and Teaching & Administration. Each track is a 3 year program that complements the standard FPMRS curriculum & scholarly activity requirements while providing in- depth exploration and achievement within an academic niche for future career development. Requirements: Completion of Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Urology in an accredited program.
