Dear Instructors and Students, I would like to invite you to the 38th Annual Mountain State Karate-Judo-Jujitsu Championships on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 at St. Albans High School in St. Albans, WV. The Karate portion of this event has been going on strong for 38 years, and features some of the top competitors from across the Mid-Atlantic Region. Hundreds of competitors from West Viriginia, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, South Carolina, and North Carolina reg- ularly attend this event. From beginners taking up competition for the first time, to advanced Black Belts and elite level athletes, this is a great event for all levels of competition. This year’s tournament will be very special as we are again holding it in conjuction with the USA National Jujitsu Championships and US Team Trials. There will be competiton in Jujitsu, Judo, and Jujitsu . For more information about this part of the tournament go to the US Jujitsu website at www.usjjf.org. TEAM OF CHAMPIONS US National Jujitsu The Team of Champions Award will go to the Championships and 10 member team that accumulates the most points. Points will be awarded for each win USA Team Trials during the competiton 1st place = 4pts, 2nd place = 3pts, 3rd place = 2pts, and 4th place = 1pt. Starting at 8:00a.m.  Total accumulated points for all team members will decide the champions. Jujitsu Competition  Each team must consist of 10 memebers - all the Judo Competition same school. Jujitsu Grappling  There is no limit to the number of teams for any school.  Each team must comply with a male/female ratio of no less than 8 to 2.( Predominantly female teams must have at least 2 males.
