Revised Code – Rivermead Golf Club Introduction

Like most private facilities, Rivermead has a . It reflects Club traditions but also considers current trends in golf wear, tasteful and appropriate , and the practices of other private clubs. The way in which we dress reflects directly on the image of Rivermead.

Members and guests who do not comply with the Dress Code will be refused access to the golf course and designated dining areas. It is the responsibility of a member introducing guests to ensure they wear appropriate attire. Details of the Club’s Dress Code can be found on the club’s web site and a summary is in the Green Book. It is also posted in the locker rooms. Members are encouraged to share this information with guests before their visit to Rivermead.

The Board of Directors has asked the Golf Shop staff, Starters and Clubhouse Management to enforce respectfully the Club’s Dress Code.

General Guidelines

Denim clothing is permitted :

Denim clothing must be in good repair and without any rips or tears, frayed ends or holes, and not be overly faded tattered or dirty and must fit appropriately. Acceptable denim does not include , painter pants or those that are extremely low cut.

This privilege does not apply to the golf course or practice facility, and it is sincerely hoped that members will exercise good taste in wearing garments that respect the spirit of our long-standing traditions.

Attire prohibited at all times on all club property: • T-, , exercise pants or , cut-offs, cargo shorts and pants with large exterior pockets (side or front) that have not been specifically designed as golf wear; • Rubber or plastic , including flip-flops and Crocs; and • Clothing that conforms to the Club Dress Standard but is dirty, frayed, tattered or otherwise in poor condition.

Members may arrive or depart directly to or from the locker room in clothing that is unacceptable elsewhere on club property.

Cell phones: Cellular phones must be off or in “vibrate” mode at all times on Club property.
