Graduation Practice – June 16, 2021 Please arrive on time for your ceremony’s practice. If you’re graduating at 6PM, please arrive on time as practice will begin promptly at 6PM. The same applies to 8PM. If you’re graduating at 8PM, please arrive on time as well. We will begin promptly at 8PM.
Graduation– June 17, 2021 Check in time is 5:30PM for the 6PM ceremony and 7:30PM for the 8PM ceremony. Graduates should park in the West Hernando parking lot. All guests should park in the CHS parking lot in back of the school.
DO NOT BRING VALUABLES, CELL PHONES, SUNGLASSES, ETC. INTO THE CAFETERIA WITH YOU! You don’t want to risk loss of property.
No items such as corsages or boutonnieres. If these items are with you, you will not be permitted to walk! All students should have a uniform appearance as they enter into the cafeteria of West Hernando.
Dress requirements for Graduation:
** Graduates MUST be dressed according to graduation dress code. Graduates who do not meet the dress code requirements for graduation will NOT walk during the ceremony.**
Graduates wearing pants: - Button down dress shirt tucked in at the waist - Dress tie optional (bow tie or long tie) - Black (preferred) dress pants (no denim/jeans) - Dress socks (dark solid colors only) - Dress belt (optional) - Dress shoes (no athletic shoes, boat shoes, hiking or cowboy boots, slides, crocs, etc.)
Graduates wearing dress or skirt and blouse: - Any dress, or skirt and blouse, that meets school dress code requirements. (Please ensure dress/skirt is shorter than graduation gown). • Dress shoes. Please keep in mind that you will be walking on grass, so heels may be a problem.
The dignity of the graduation ceremony is highly regarded. Therefore, the attachment of any item or decorations on caps, gowns, and tassel outside of regalia obtained from CHS will not be permitted. Caps, gowns, AND tassel are required for participation in the ceremony.
