THE PRACTICE: The practice is situated in a former ice cream shop on the busy main road through the village of Barrowford. Over the past 19 years since it opened, the practice has expanded from a part time single surgery to the present 4-surgery practice. Our team consists of 3 dentists, an Oral Surgeon, a Clinical Dental Technician, a Therapist, 3 part time Hygienists, and a young, enthusiastic support staff. We are members of the BDA Good Practice Scheme and provide treatment under both the National Health Service and private fee per item/capitation schemes. All modern materials and a digital radiograph system is present.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly team who aim to create a relaxed atmosphere with the emphasis on pain free, high quality, dentistry.

THE TRAINER: I qualified at Leeds University School of Dentistry in 2001 and started my career as a Vocational Trainee in Malton, North Yorkshire. I then moved across the Pennines to Preston, Lancashire where I built up a new list of 2000 National Health patients. Four years later I began working here at Barrowford and a practice in Settle. In 2009 I committed full time to Barrowford Dental Practice when I took over from the then Principal, Mark Pearce, who was a trainer here for 10 years. My main interests outside work are spending time with my growing family and friends, cycling and walking

THE AREA: Barrowford is a large, prosperous village near Burnley with significant new housing development. A very good local motorway network allows easy access to Manchester, Leeds and the Yorkshire Dales.
