Initial Log In and Setup

Step 1: Enroll and Log In If you have not enrolled in Personal Online Banking, visit americanbank.com and click on the ‘ENROLL’ button in the top right corner of the homepage.

You can enroll using your checking, savings, market or loan account. If you have more than one account, you will automatically receive access to your other accounts as well.

Click on the button for the type of account you are enrolling with.

• If you have a checking, savings or but no loan account: select the Checking, Savings or Money Market Account button.

• If you have a checking, savings or money market account and a loan account: select only the Checking, Savings or Money Market Account button. Your loan account will be automatically included.

• If a loan account is the ONLY type of account you have: select the Loan Account button.

You must acknowledge the Electronic Banking Agreement by clicking on the link. Then click on the “I have read…” box. Click ‘CONTINUE’ to move on to your online banking setup.

To complete enrollment, carefully enter your personal and account information – as you have provided it to us – for validation.

Click ‘CONTINUE.’

Upon validation, you will immediately log in to Personal Online Banking.

Set up your User ID and , taking care to meet all of the requirements. Click ‘CONTINUE.’

When you have successfully enrolled in online banking, the screen below will be presented. Click ‘CONTINUE.’

Step 2: Set Up Bill Pay and E-Statements Next, you will be given the opportunity to set up Bill Payment and electronic statements. Bill Pay and e- statements are not available for loan accounts.

On the Enroll in Bill Payment screen, you can choose to ‘Enroll Now’ or select ‘No Thanks’ to enroll at a later time.

If you choose ‘Enroll Now,’ select the account you will use as your primary Bill Pay account. Then click ‘Enroll.’ (Or choose ‘No Thanks’ to skip Bill Pay for now.)

The ‘Enroll in Bill Payment’ confirmation screen will be shown.

To set up electronic statement delivery, click on ‘Add Statements.’ (To set up e-statements at a later time, click on ‘No Thanks.’)

You can choose to receive e-statements for all of your accounts (except ) or to receive them on only certain accounts.

• For all accounts, check the box to show that you have read and agreed to the Electronic Banking Agreement and click ‘Submit.’

• To select only certain accounts, click on the ‘add online statements’ link.

If you clicked on ‘add online statements,’ the following screen will appear. For each account shown, select the statement delivery method you prefer from the drop-down list of options.

Then review the Electronic Banking Agreement and click on the “I have read and agree…” box. Next, click on ‘Submit.’

Review the online statements confirmation screen. Click on ‘Access Online Banking.’

The enrollment process is complete. Your account summary page will be presented.

Click on the ‘Customize accounts’ link if you wish to provide nicknames for your accounts or designate them to be hidden from view.

Step 3: Security Validation You will be prompted to receive a one-time security code.

Click ‘Continue with Security Code.’

Select a phone number or mobile device where you can receive the one-time security code.

Click ‘Continue.’ TIP: If your Login ID has not been entered correctly, the phone numbers shown will be incorrect. Try entering your Login ID again, being very careful to enter it exactly as specified. Remember, the Login ID is case sensitive.

After carefully re-entering your Login ID, if you still do not see a current phone number you can use, please click on the link ‘My phone number is not listed.’

The following screen will appear. Security validation cannot be completed until you contact us to update your phone numbers.

Once you tell us how to reach you, you will receive a phone call from (800) 257-8316 or a text message, depending on your selection.

When prompted, enter the one-time security code you received.

Once the call is completed, click ‘Phone Call Completed.’

Step 4: Sign In Enter your password and click ‘Sign In.’

If this is your initial login, you will be required to create a new password. Enter your new password and confirm it in the fields provided.

Click ‘Submit’ to continue. TIP: To save time creating your new password, pay careful attention to the password requirements.

Step 5: Acknowledge the Electronic Banking Service Agreement Click ‘Continue’ to proceed to the Electronic Banking Service Agreement and Disclosure.

You must acknowledge the Electronic Banking Agreement by clicking on the link.

A new window will pop up containing the agreement. You must read and scroll through the entire agreement before proceeding.

Once you have read and scrolled through the agreement, close the tab to return to the screen below.

Click the checkbox stating that you have read and agree to the terms of the Electronic Banking Agreement.

Click ‘Submit’ to continue to your online banking homepage.

Welcome to your Personal Online Banking homepage.

TIP: If you also have business accounts with American , you will need to register for Business Online Banking separately to have online access to those accounts.

Step 6: Set Up Services Personal Online Banking offers many services including internal transfers, external transfers, electronic statements, personal finance management, loan payments, Bill Payment and more. Follow the instructions below for each of the services you would like to use. Online Statements The default statement delivery method is paper. If you did not set up online statements when you enrolled in online banking and wish to do so at a later date, you will need to change your statement delivery method from paper to online: click on ‘More’ in the top navigation bar, then ‘’ > ‘Document Delivery.’

Read and agree to the Electronic Banking Agreement, check the box indicating that you have read and agreed to the terms, then click ‘Submit.’

All eligible accounts will be updated to the online delivery method and paper statements will no longer be generated for these accounts.

To modify statement delivery for specific accounts, you can select ‘Change statement delivery method’ at any time.

TIP: If you add a new account in the future, don’t forget to enroll the new account in online delivery. It will not be automatically enrolled.

Bill Pay To enroll in Bill Pay (if you did not do so when you initially enrolled for online banking), simply click the Bill Pay icon in the top navigation bar and then click ‘Enroll now.’

Follow the prompts to select your primary “pay from” account and begin adding payees and paying bills right away.

Personal Finance Personal Finance allows you to see all your banking accounts in one location and offers many great features including transaction categorization, budgeting, net worth, and goal tracking.

To get started with Personal Finance, simply click on the Personal Finance tab in the top navigation tool bar.

Next, agree to the terms of the Personal Finance Agreement and click ‘Get started.’

External Transfers External Transfers allow you to move funds to and from accounts you have with us and accounts held at other financial institutions.

To use this service, you will need to verify ownership of the external transfer account by providing us the bank routing and account numbers and then verifying the amount of two small deposits we will make into that account.

Once your account is verified, you will be able to make one time or recurring transfers to and from the account at your other .

Click the ‘External Transfer’ icon in the top navigation bar, re-agree to the Electronic Banking Agreement and click ‘Continue.’

Because External Transfers are considered risky transactions, you will need to validate your identity through the out-of-band process by selecting where to reach you and clicking ‘Continue.’

Once you have clicked ‘Continue,’ the following screen will appear. Follow the instructions shown and click ‘Call completed.’

Once your identity has been verified, provide the required information about your external account on the screen below and click ‘Continue.’

External accounts that are ready to be verified will be in a "Confirm" status and a link will be provided so that the two deposits can be made and confirmed. New external accounts can be verified two business days after the day the account was added.

Mobile Banking After you have enrolled and logged in to Personal Online Banking, get started with Mobile Banking by downloading the Personal Mobile Banking application from the appropriate app store:

Be sure you download the correct app. The app icon looks like this:

To log in to Mobile Banking, use the same credentials that you use to log in to Personal Online Banking.

Once you are logged in, you will be able to see your account information and transactions on the go, use Personal Finance tools, make Mobile Deposits, conduct person-to-person payments through Zelle® and manage your debit card using Mobile Card Controls with Push Notifications.

Making a Mobile Deposit Log in to the Mobile Banking app with your User ID and Password, then tap ‘Continue’ in the top right corner.

At the bottom of the screen, tap the ‘+’ symbol.

Tap on the ‘Deposit’ icon. You will be directed to the first set of instructions for mobile deposit. Once you have read these instructions, tap ‘Continue’ at the top right of the screen.

You will be directed to a second set of instructions.

NOTE: Please be sure to endorse the back of the check. Use the same name as is shown for the payee on the front of the check. Include “For mobile deposit only.”

Once you have read and followed the instructions, tap ‘Continue’ at the top right of the screen.

You will now see the ‘Deposit’ screen.

Tap on the ‘Front’ and ‘Back’ icons to take photos of the front and back of the check you are depositing.

Select the account to receive the deposit and enter the amount of the check.

Enter the email address where you would like to receive a copy of the mobile deposit.

Tap ‘Continue’ at the top right of the screen.

Managing Your Debit Card Mobile Card Controls and Push Notifications give you the ability to define how and where your debit card can be used, offering additional protection against fraudulent activity. With the tap of a finger, you can make changes on the go.

For example, you can turn your card “off” and quickly turn it “on” when you are ready to use it. You can set a geographic region where your card can be used, then manage it right from the Personal Mobile Banking app when you are traveling. Preventing fraudulent online use is easy too. Set the card to block online transactions and easily remove the block when you are ready to make an online purchase. You can even block transactions when your card is not nearby, or transactions at certain types of locations. Alerts can also be set to let you know when your card is used.

To get started managing your card, log in to the Mobile Banking app then tap ‘Continue’ in the top right corner.

At the bottom of the screen, tap the ‘More’ icon.

On the ‘More’ screen, select ‘Card Controls’ to set up parameters for how and where your card can be used or ‘Alerts’ to receive notifications whenever your card is used.

Step 7: Managing Your Loan

Viewing Loan Information Within the online banking view, you can click on the loan account to see information about the loan.

The Account Activity screen will show the payment history of the loan, when the next payment is due, and the next payment amount.

Click on ‘More’ in the navigation bar to view additional information about the loan.

Making a Loan Payment To make a payment on your loan, click on the ‘Loan Payment’ icon.

From the drop-down list, select the loan on which you want to make a payment.

You can also set up repeating payments to be made automatically.

Once you have selected the loan from which to make a payment, you will be given the option to make a regular payment, a additional principal payment, or an additional escrow payment.

If you decided to make repeating payments, you will be able to set up the frequency, the starting date and the ending date. Payment frequency can be set up for Biweekly, Monthly, Twice a month, or Quarterly.

Making an External Loan Payment To make an American Bank loan payment from an account at another financial institution, you will need to have an external account set up within American Bank Personal Online Banking. On the Make a Loan Payment screen, follow the directions at the bottom of the screen to add an external account to online banking.

Subsequent Personal Online Banking Logins

Subsequent logins to Personal Online Banking can be accomplished by visiting americanbank.com and locating the ‘Personal Login ID’ box in the top right corner of the homepage. TIP: There are two different online banking systems – one for personal banking and one for business banking. Be sure to select the ‘Personal Login ID’ box.

Point your cursor to the text ‘Personal Login ID’ and click.

Enter your Login ID in the box. (Your Personal Login ID will be the Login ID you created during the enrollment process.) Your Login ID is case sensitive.

Click on ‘LOGIN’ to proceed.
