TONY ALFORD Assistant for Offense / Running Backs 4TH SEASON HOMETOWN FAMILY Tony Alford, who has coached collegiate running backs for 20 years, is in his Akron, Ohio Wife, Trina fourth season as assistant head coach for offense and running backs coach at Ohio State University. HIGH SCHOOL sons Rylan, Doherty (Colo.) Kyler & Braydon Alford and Meyer’s relationship dates to Meyer’s first year as an assistant coach ALMA MATER at Colorado State University in 1990. His first hree seasons at Ohio State he has Colorado State ’92 coached a Big Ten running back of the year (), a Big Ten freshman of the year (Mike Weber) and freshman All-American J.K. Dobbins.

BILLY DAVIS 2ND SEASON HOMETOWN FAMILY Billy Davis is in his second season as linebackers coach at Ohio State. Davis was Youngstown, Ohio Wife, Sherry named to the position in December 2016 after working the 2016 football season with the Buckeyes as an analyst. HIGH SCHOOL daughters Monica, Berea Brooke, twins Grace & Ava, and Davis is a 24-year NFL assistant whose resume includes seven years of ALMA MATER son Billy defensive coordinator positions and a list of Pro Bowlers-coached that includes Cincinnati ’89 Keith Brooking, Darnell Dockett, Kevin Greene, , Lamar Lathon, Michigan State ’91 Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Antrel Rolle, Adrian Wilson and Connor Barwin.

RYAN DAY Offensive Coodinator / 2ND SEASON HOMETOWN FAMILY Ryan Day joined the Ohio State coaching staff in January 2017 and is the team’s Manchester, N.H. Wife, Christina and quarterbacks coach. The 16-year coaching veteran had been quarterbacks coach in the NFL under in 2016 for the San HIGH SCHOOL son Ryan Jr., and Francisco 49ers and two years ago for the . ALEX GRINCH Co-Defensive Coordinator / Safeties 1ST SEASON HOMETOWN FAMILY Alex Grinch joined the Ohio State football coaching staff in January after Grove City, Ohio Wife, Rebecca coaching the last three years as defensive coordinator and secondary coach at Washington State University. He was a 2017 Broyles Award semifinalist. HIGH SCHOOL son Tyler and Grove City daughter Corbi Grinch, who is from Grove City, Ohio, and who is a 2002 graduate of Mount ALMA MATER Union, is considered one of the most respected up-and-coming young defensive Mt. Union ‘02 coaches in after turning around a Washington State in his three years on staff.

BRIAN HARTLINE Interim Wide Receivers Coach 1ST SEASON HOMETOWN FAMILY Former Ohio State and seven-year NFL veteran Brian Hartline is North Canton, Ohio Wife, Kara Ohio State’s interim wide receivers coach. Hartline is in his second year with the program. He worked as a quality control coach with the wide receivers in 2017 HIGH SCHOOL son Brayden when the Buckeyes won and Cotton Bowl championships. GlenOak ALMA MATER Hartline initially joined the Ohio State staff in early 2017 after retiring from the Ohio State ‘09 NFL after a terrific career. He played for the for six seasons between 2009 and 2014 and he played one season with the .

LARRY JOHNSON Assistant Head Coach / Defensive Line 5TH SEASON HOMETOWN FAMILY Larry Johnson is in his ffth season as assistant head coach and defensive line Williamston, N.C. TAVER JOHNSON Cornerbacks / Special Teams Coordinator 1ST SEASON HOMETOWN FAMILY Taver Johnson, a 23-year coaching veteran with prior positions in the Big Ten Cincinnati, Ohio Wife, Sharday Conference, the SEC and the , joined the Ohio State University coaching staff in February of 2017. HIGH SCHOOL son Tyree and C.A.P.E. daughter Brooklynn Johnson, who is a native of Cincinnati, comes home to Ohio after spending the ALMA MATER 2017 season working as defensive coordinator at Temple University. He will be Wittenberg ‘94 coaching at Ohio State for a second time. He was cornerbacks coach for four seasons under (2007-10) and for the 2011 season under Luke Fickell.

MICKEY MAROTTI Assistant AD for Football Sports Performance 7TH SEASON HOMETOWN ALMA MATERS Mickey Marotti is in his seventh season as the assistant athletic director for Ambridge, Pa. West Liberty St ’87 football sports performance at Ohio State and his 32nd season overall as a Ohio State ’88 coach. He is the person Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer trusts in the critical HIGH SCHOOL West Virginia ’90 area of strength and conditioning training and overseeing sports performance. GREG SCHIANO Associate Head Coach / Defensive Coordinator 3RD SEASON HOMETOWN FAMILY Greg Schiano is in his third season as defensive coordinator for the Buckeyes. Wyckoff, N.J. Wife, Christy The 29-year coaching veteran is also associate head coach and oversees the entire defense. GREG STUDRAWA Offensive Line 3RD SEASON HOMETOWN FAMILY Greg Studrawa is in his third season as coach of Ohio State’s offensive linemen Fostoria, Ohio Wife, Cindy and he is in his 29th season coaching on the collegiate level overall. He has coached consecutive consensus All-Americans and Rimington Trophy award HIGH SCHOOL daughters Samantha, Katelin winners in Pat Elflein (2016) and Billy Price (2017). St. Wendelin & Allison ALMA MATER Born in Fostoria, Studwara played collegiately at Bowling Green. He has coached Bowling Green ’87 collegiately for 18 years throughout the state: at Cincinnati, at Wilmington, at Ohio State and at Bowling Green, including under Urban Meyer in 2001-02.

KEVIN WILSON Offensive Coordinator / Tight Ends 2ND SEASON HOMETOWN FAMILY Kevin Wilson is in his second season as the Buckeyes’ offensive coordinator and Maiden, N.C. Wife, Angela tight ends coach. HIGH SCHOOL daughters Elaina, Wilson has directed some of the most prolific offenses in the nation over his Maiden Makenzie & Marlee and sons Trey & Toby 34-year coaching career. He coached two of the four teams in FBS history that ALMA MATER produced a 3,500-yard passer, two 1,000-yard rushers and a 1,000-yard receiver North Carolina in the same year. His 2015 Indiana and 2008 Oklahoma offenses achieved the ’84 / ’87 feat. The others are USC in 2005 and Southern Mississippi in 2015.
