When halE the year had elapsed his scrnccs wcro lost to the lnst1Luhon, through retrenchment of the income, and the charge of the whole of the mollnsca was lhen temporarily deput<;d to Mr. llcdler This ollicer completed arranging a collection of Prlrcypoda, referred to last year, which was then la1d out in tho Upper Hall. He was afterwards instructed to select all the Australian Bivalves from the various collections and to name and mount a representative series for display in the new gallery.
