The Journal of Asian Studies, known until September 1956 as the Far Eastern Quarterly, is published by The Association for Asian Studies, Inc., formerly named The Far Eastern Association, Inc. The Journal is pub- lished in November, February, May and August, and the annual Bibliography of Asian Studies, formerly known as the Far Eastern Bibliography, is published as a fifth number of the Journal in September. Subscrip- tion for the five numbers is $10.00 a year, foreign and domestic postage included; single numbers are $2.50 for regular issues, and $4.00 for the Bibliography. Back numbers of the Journal and Quarterly, if available, may be ordered from the Secretary at $2.50 each. Application for membership in The Association for Asian Studies, subscriptions to the Journal, or correspondence regarding the Association should be addressed to Russell H. Fifield, P. O.
