Ole Hyldegaard is a Consultant in Anaesthesiology and is Medical Director at the Unit of the University Hospital of Copenhagen, Rigshospitalet. An HBO multichamber facility. Appointed Clinical Research Associate Professor at the Medical Faculty, University of Copenhagen. Have a Ph.D. and a doctoral medical science degree in on and inert gas effects on bubbles during hypo- normo and hyperbaric conditions. More than 60 publications as peer-review, proceedings-, book chapters and abstracts in diving- and hyperbaric medicine. Peer-review assignments on several scientific journals including JDHM and JUHM. An over two decades EUBS member (presented first paper in 1989, Palermo, Italy). Former EUBS member-at-large. Secretary General of the annual EUBS scientific meeting in Copenhagen 2003. Certified and government approved, diving medical physician equivalent to EDTC level IIa and certified clinical hyperbaric physician. Course director on several diving medicine courses. Is a diving medical officer in hotline services since 1995 and director of DAN Europe Scandinavian local office. Is a recreational CMAS 3-star diver and former CMAS instructor.
