Undergraduate Curriculum

German Culture

Major 1. Students in and Literature are required to choose one of the following tracks: a) Multiple majors: students who have other majors along with German Language and Literature b) Concentration track: students only majoring in German Language and Literature who are planning to further their study in graduate school c) Practical track: students only majoring in German Language and Literature who are planning to seek employment directly after graduation 2. The mandatory credits for each track are the following: a) Multiple majors: more than 36 credits b) Concentration track: more than 48 credits c) Practical track: more than 48 credits d) Teacher training program: more than 50 credits 3. Courses taken in each track are broken into: - Introductory courses - General courses - Concentrated courses - Practical courses 4. Required courses: 15 credits* - Introductory courses (3 cr.): choose one from: 2001 Elementary German, 2002 Elementary German Conversation - General courses (12 cr.): choose one from 3002 Audio-Visual German, 3003 독작문 - Choose one from: 3016 Introduction to German Linguistics, 3018 German and Language - Choose one from: 3030 Introduction to German Literary Arts, 3031 German Literary History - Choose one from: 3039 Understanding of German Culture, 3045 German Cultural History 5.
