(Senior) Software Engineer (DevOps) (f/m/d)

Join Porsche Digital as a (Senior) Software Engineer (DevOps) (f/m/d) in Berlin and become a member of our company.

As (Senior) Software Engineer (DevOps) you will be part of a sprint team (2 pizza team setup). You will be working closely with the product owner, architect, designer and other software engineers in your team. We collect and prioritize our work using a backlog maintained in JIRA. During our sprint planning meetings, you will pick the work items for your next sprint and will be responsible to implement those tasks. We follow a test-driven development approach in order to ensure high quality in our source code.

Your team will focus on one of the applications we implement at Porsche Digital, such as sounce.io. The team develops and operates the application. Within our teams we follow the principles of DevOps with regards to writing maintainable code, ensuring appropriate test coverage, and continuously deploying our software into test and prod environments.

As a DevOps expert, you will take extra care of our deployment pipeline (CI/CD) and all processes related to it, such as automated testing, static code analysis, security scans, and deployment. You will also keep an eye on our infrastructure, which we have fully defined in code (HashiCorp Terraform). Experience with the AWS Cloud stack and the serverless architecture approach are required.

Qualification • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar • Advance software engineering skills • Advanced cloud computing and cloud deployment knowledge (focus on AWS) • 3+ years professional experience in software engineering • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications • Experience in running cloud applications on Amazon AWS cloud infrastructure • Expertise with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFoundry, CDK) • Expertise with GitLab CI/CD pipeline • Experience working with cloud databases (DynamoDB, RDS) • Expertise with at least one programming language (Java, Kotlin, Scala, C++) • Practical experience from using computer science fundamentals • Experience with developing complex software which has been brought into productive use • Fluent in English and German
