All-Volunteer Executive Director and Board

Keith Kyle, Capitol Hill Executive Director. Keith grew up in the DC suburbs as the DC Metro system was built and it ​ clearly had a big impact on him. Ever since he moved here in 1994, he has been dreaming of a connected by high quality transit. He is a founding member and Executive Director of Seattle Subway. He currently works in IT at . All opinions expressed by Keith are his own and are representative of Seattle Subway and in no way represent Sound Transit.

Board of Directors

Paige Malott, International District President. Hailing from Ohio, Paige is a communitarian and digital storyteller. In ​ 2009, she directed a PBS documentary about the history of her hometown’s failed transit system, Cincinnati’s Abandoned Subway. This led her to join the leadership ​ ​ team of Cincinnati Streetcar advocates, which pioneered opening the city’s first light rail since 1951. When not in transit, Paige is a marketing professional who manages strategic planning, video, and social media creative.

Ben Broesamle, Magnolia Treasurer and Operations Director. Born in Santa Monica, CA, Ben received his Bachelor ​ of Arts in Geography-Urban and Regional Development Studies from UCLA and moved to Seattle permanently in 2010 to join his immediate family. His transit interest began after travelling to Europe and seeing just how much better life could be with better travel options than the typical Lo Angeles-area gridlocked traffic. He received his master’s degree from the College of Built Environments ats the University of Washington in 2016 where he studied real estate and transportation.

Grace Carlson, Capitol Hill Political Director. Grace is a communications strategist and sustainable ​ transportation advisor, who, for more than a decade has led a green branding and strategic communications consulting firm serving a broad range of clients throughout the area and Southwest Florida. She holds an MBA in Sustainable Systems from Pinchot University in Seattle, WA, along with a Certificate in Renewable Energy Management.

Kjersti Egerdahl, West Seattle Board member. A seventh-generation Washingtonian, Kjersti grew up in Edmonds with strong ties to the Norwegian community in Ballard. After earning a B.A. in English from the University of San Francisco and living car-free in the Bay Area for six years, she returned home to Seattle. She has worked in magazine and book publishing for the past 14 years and currently produces multimedia ebooks at Amazon Publishing. Kjersti lives near Morgan Junction with her husband, where they are expecting their first child.

Dave Freeburg, Belltown Board Member. Dave works as an attorney at a prominent litigation boutique, where he represents clients in complex disputes involving rails-to-trails matters, securities litigation, and immigration law. Before returning to the Seattle area, he spent eight years in Washington, DC, where he attended the Georgetown University Law Center and served as an attorney for Goodwin Procter, a leading global law firm. He is originally from Snohomish County, although his family moved to Seattle before Washington became a state in 1889.
