Graduate Architecture and Urban Design 1
GRADUATE ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN DESIGN
The graduate Architecture and Urban Design programs offer three graduate degrees—one professional and two post-professional.
1. The first-professional Master of Architecture (MArch) degree is an 84-credit, three-year professional degree program for students holding a four-year undergraduate degree in any field. Applicants with preprofessional degrees from four-year BS in Architecture or BS in Engineering programs may qualify for one year of advanced standing (AS). 2. The post-professional Master of Science in Architecture degree (MS Arch) is a 36-credit, three-semester (fall, spring, summer) program for those who hold an accredited five-year Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree or the equivalent. 3. The post-professional Master of Science in Urban Design degree (MS Urban Design) is a 33-credit, three-semester (fall, spring, summer) program for those who hold an accredited five-year Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree or the equivalent.
Students in the MS Arch and the MS Urban Design programs are encouraged to develop specialized areas of research.
