About the Contributors

Collence Takaingenhamo Chisita is a Principal Lecturer and Researcher based at Polytechnic’s School of Information . He is a holder of PHD Information Sciences, Masters of Information Sciences, BA English and , Higher Diploma in Information Science. Chisita lecturers in a num- ber of subjects namely, Information Storage Retrieval, Organisation of Knowledge, Digital Diplomatics and Resource sharing. Currently he is a Post Doctoral fellow (PDF) with UNISA. Chisita is a renowned writer and speaker who has presented papers at various fora including Euro Africa Partnership for Research in ICT’s, Promoting African European Research Infrastructure Partnerships (PAERIP), IFLA, among others. He has also worked with Ubuntunet Alliance and other regional and international NRENS.

Alexander Madanha Rusero is a Senior Journalism and Political Studies Lec- turer at ’s pioneer journalism training institution of – School of Journalism and Media Studies. Rusero is a holder of a Masters of Science in International Relations, a Bachelors of Science in Political Science, Bachelors of Mass Communication – Print Journalism as well as several diplomas, certificates and certifications. He is author to more than 8 text books on News Writing, Media, Democracy and Development, Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising as well as International Relations and Zimbabwe’s . Rusero is a prominent political analyst and resource person of various global media institutions, among them Al Jazeera, CNN, BBC and CGTV. Rusero is also currently a Doctoral Fellow with the University of Pretoria undertaking a PhD in International Relations.

Sindiso Bhebhe is a Principal Archivist at the National Archives of Zimbabwe. He is a part time tutor of records, archives and library courses at the . He holds a Master of Library and Information Science Degree About the Contributors from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe. He also hold a certificate on short of modern library practices from the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training in Chennai, India. At the present moment he is doing a Doctorate in Information Science with the University of South Africa. He has attended and presented academic articles on numerous local and international conferences which deal mainly with the library and archival issues. He is part of the Africa research team in the International Research on Permanent Authentic Records in Electronic Systems [InterPARES] Trust. He is a member of the Oral History As- sociation of South Africa. He has published academic articles on the issues of oral history, archival infrastructure and archival diplomatics in international journals.

Rupak Chakravarty is working as Associate in the Department of Library & Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India for more than 10 years. Specialization areas include: Application of ICT in libraries includ- ing library automation, Free Open Source Software (FOSS), digital library, digital reference service, library portal development. Other areas of specialization include: of Library & Information Centres, Information & Communication, Dewey Decimal Classification, Information Sources, Open Access, Institutional Repositories (IRs), Web 2.0, Library 2.0. Also serving as Mendeley Advisor at Chandigarh region. Worked as Assistant Librarian, Panjab University Library for more than five years as the Reference Librarian and at Periodicals. Has contributed 5 lessons in the national OER project called ePGPathshala. Has written 5 book chapters with IGI Global.

Floribert Patrick C. Endong (PhD) is a research consultant in the humanities and social sciences. He is a reviewer and editor with many scientific journals in the social sciences. His current research interest focuses on culture, international communication, gender studies, digital media, media , international relations, and religious communication He is author of numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the above-mentioned areas of interest.

Tshepho Mosweu is a Lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Studies at the University of and a Doctoral Degree candidate in Information Science at the University of South Africa. She has a Master’s Degree in Archives and Records Management where her research was on an ECM system implemented by the Administration of Justice in Botswana. Tshepho Mosweu is also a researcher at InterPARES Trust, Team Africa, a multi-disciplinary and multinational research project based in Canada concerned with digital records entrusted to the Internet.

She previously worked at Botswana National Archives and Records Services as an Archivist and Head of Kanye Records Centre. She has written and presented academic papers in electronic records management, Social Media, oral history and Cloud- Computing.

Darlington Musemburi is the Librarian at the University of Zimbabwe and a steering committee member for the Zimbabwe Legal Information Institute (ZIMLII), a nonprofit making Trust advocating for open and free access by public to the public legal information through electronic means. He is a holder of Master of Science in Library and Information Science and a facilitator in Open Access and Information Literacy Pedagogy. He has facilitated for IDS UK and INASP.

Arnold Mwanzu is the Head Librarian and Information Resource Centre Co- ordinator at International Centre of Insect & Ecology (icipe) in Nairobi . He holds a Masters in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from , Kenya; an MSc in Organizational Development from USIU-Africa. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Science at , Kenya. Profes- sionally, he is a Standing Committee member of the IFLA preservation & Conserva- tion section 2017-2019; he is an executive board member in the Kenya Library & Information Science Consortium (KLISC). He is also the Country coordinator for INASP in charge of promotion and marketing of e-resources.

Mpho Ngoepe is a professor in the Department of Information Science at the University of South Africa (Unisa). Prior to his current position at Unisa, Prof Ngoepe has worked for the United Nations Children’s Fund, Auditor-General South Africa and the National Archives of South Africa. Professor Ngoepe is serving in the national committee of the South African Society of Archivists (2009-2017) and the board of Eastern and Southern Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (2009-2017) as the editor of the journals. Prof Ngoepe also serves on the advisory council of the National Archives of South Africa in his capacity as the chairperson of Gauteng Provincial Archives. He is the director of the African Team for the multi-national, interdisciplinary research project exploring issues concerning digital records called the International Research on Permanent Authentic Records in Electronic Systems (InterPARES Trust) (2013-2018).

Collen Nhendo is an Assistant Librarian at the University of Zimbabwe respon- sible for the Faculty of . He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Library and Information Science. He has 5 years experience in librarianship. He

260 About the Contributors has worked for Library before joining the University of Zimbabwe in 2012. His areas of research interest include Information Literacy, Open Access Publishing and Electronic Information Resources.

Ojinga Omiunu is a PhD student in Africa Regional Centre for Information Science, , Ibadan, Oyo State, . He is also the CEO of Unicorn Academics and organisation Developmental Research Centre, a registered NGO based in Nigeria, West Africa.

Lazarus Sauti is an information scientist, poet, short story writer, public rela- tions as well as media practitioner based in Zimbabwe. Currently Lazarus is working fort the Ministry of Transport but also serves as an independent media practitioner for the Sunday Times.
