We are seeking a Process Engineer I to be part of the Operations team, based in Chattanooga, TN, and will support the overall success of the Dispersions & Resins business in North America. For further information about the Dispersions & Resins business in North America, please visit http://www.basf.us/dpsolutions Process Engineer I (1603702) The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical process engineering support to ensure safe and efficient production at the Amnicola Highway and/or the Polymer Drive facilities. In addition, the role works in close collaboration with other /managers at the site providing technical support for the production processes. Formula for Success: You Will…

 Provide process engineering support for Process Safety, MOCs, PHAs, PSM, RMP, and EHS for the Chattanooga manufacturing processes. Develop and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance as it relates to the manufacturing processes.  Operational Support: Provide process engineering support to operations for process troubleshooting, reliability improvements and problem solving. Develop process improvements for plant safety, quality, and productivity. Assist in plant trials for new and improved products and processes.  Plant Optimization: Provide process engineering support towards efforts to improve plant productivity and product quality. Support plant DCS and process control strategies to improve and troubleshoot plant processes.  Works under the collaborative direction and supervision of the Operations Manager. Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

• BS Degree in Engineering, preferably

• 1+ years of experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment.

• Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint required. SAP skills are preferred.

• Must be able to work under limited supervision, primarily guided by specific assignment objectives.

• Possess strong analytical and mechanical aptitude skills, and excellent individual and team skills

• Demonstrated experience collaborating successfully with other functions (R&D, Engineering/Maintenance/Contractors)
