Prosysco Ltd. 360 & 380 Ambassador Drive Mississauga ON L5T 2J3 Junior Process Engineer/Process Specialist Duties & Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Process Engineering, the Junior Process Engineer/Process Specialist is a versatile resource applied in the execution of projects that have process and automation components. The primary responsibilities, expectations, and qualifications of this role are outlined below. Responsibilities and expectations: • Work closely with other discipline Engineers, Designers and Project Managers as a key team player within an integrated multi-disciplinary project delivery team. • Support the Senior Process Engineer on projects • Aid in completion of mass balance, heat transfer, thermodynamic calculations, and other process related calculations. • Assist in specifying major equipment, select valves and instruments, specify piping requirements • Support fabrication team during construction to ensure design intent is met • Participate in the testing of the equipment in-house and on client’s sites • Aid in process control design related to mechanical systems as well as collaboration with the automation team. • Complete project tasks that include, but are not limited to initial design criteria and basis for design drawings, P&IDs, generation of data sheets and tag lists, transmittals for approval, spool drawing review • Provide support in the inspection, approvals and verification of components and assemblies in both fab shop and field environments, including as-built of the final project • Support commissioning and start-up activities • Support Field Supervisors in site troubleshooting, technical and maintenance assistance at customer locations • Liaise with clients, contractor representatives and/or project field personnel as necessary to assist with meeting key project deliverables with ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve arising issues in a timely manner • Conduct work in a professional manner and communicate a positive image personally and of the project You will be successful in this role if you: • Are able to make the right choices when facing competing priorities and focus on what is critical to advance the project • Are able to motivate yourself • Appreciate that perfection can sometimes be the enemy of progress • Enjoy working on new projects • Enjoy your work while being under pressure to meet deadlines • Respect your colleagues and are willing to share knowledge and seek guidance Page 1 www.prosyscoltd.com Prosysco Ltd. 360 & 380 Ambassador Drive Mississauga ON L5T 2J3 Required Qualifications: • Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering • Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer in Ontario with solid knowledge of engineering codes and standards • Experience in or strong ability to learn quickly about the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industry, Food and Beverage, Construction Engineering, Planning and/or Project Management, preferably in a variety of fields (i.e., Industrial, Beverage, Dairy an asset) • Experience in the design of fluid and bulk materials handling processes including preparation of process flow diagrams, heat and material balances and P&IDs • Experience in or strong ability to learn quickly about the design of sanitary process systems including piping, vessels and skidded systems • Familiarity with CFIA and HACCP requirements would be an asset • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment Page 2 www.prosyscoltd.com .
