Day 1 Colombo Airport - Dambulla (Approx. 3 hours and 20 minutes’ drive)
Welcome to Sri Lanka!
On arrival at Colombo airport, you will meet your chauffeur and he will accompany you to the hotel in Dambulla.
Arrive Dambulla and check-in hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner & overnight stay in Dambulla. Meals: Dinner
Day 2 Dambulla - Sigiriya - Dambulla (Approx. 30 minutes’ drive)
After breakfast, visit to Sigiriya and climb up the Rock Fortress.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress – Explore the 5th century Rock Fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70-hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. Return to the hotel, and take a small break Late afternoon (3pm) visit Dambulla Cave Temple.

Day 3 Dambulla - Trincomalee (Approx. 2 hours and 15 minutes’ drive)
After breakfast, leave for Trincomalee.

Day 4 Trincomalee
After breakfast, you will enjoy a city tour of Trincomalee. Trincomalee - This heavenly coastal getaway of unspoilt, white, sandy beaches and crystal blue waters is located in the Northeast portion of the island. A short drive outside the town circles would render its visitors speechless owing to breath-taking sights that behold them. Trincomalee’s most culturally important site is the Koneswaram temple – a vibrant religious complex located a top a rocky hill that opens out to gorgeous vistas of the sparkling blue ocean. The temple complex is also home to the Lover’s Leap (Swami rock) - a rocky pinnacle worshipped by passing fishermen. There are also several locations including Pigeon Island, ideal for snorkeling and diving where one could observe the most striking varieties of corals and tropical fish. The seven hot wells in Kanniyai is an excellent opportunity for rejuvenation.

Day 5 Trincomalee - Jaffna (Approx. 4 hours and 20 minutes’ drive)
After breakfast, leave for Jaffna.

Day 6 Jaffna
After breakfast, Jaffna sightseen and make a visit to the northern utmost point of land of Sri Lanka – Point Pedro
Point Pedro is a town, located in Jaffna District, Sri Lanka, at the northernmost point of the island. Cotton is produced around Point Pedro in the fertile calcic red latosol soils. The eastern coast of Point Pedro forms a 3-mile-wide, 20-mile-long beach with sand dunes up to 100 feet high, extending to Thalayady. The porous soil has a water table deep underground with an estimated one billion litres of fresh water. During pre-colonial and even in colonial times, Point Pedro was a bustling hub of export/import activities. The people, whose descendants involved in the import/export business, continue to form the majority of the population of Point Pedro.

Day 7 Jaffna - Anuradhpura (Approx. 3 hours and 45 minutes’ drive)

After a long and sometimes bloody history, it was abandoned in 1073 and is now today the most important religious and cultural site in Sri Lanka. The ruins of Mahavihara, the first monastery, built by King Devanampiyatissa in 250 B.C.E, and several other monasteries and temples can be seen here

Day 8 Anuradhpura - Colombo (Approx. 4 hours and 30 minutes’ drive)
After breakfast, leave for Colombo. Thereafter you will enjoy a city tour of Colombo.

Colombo is often referred to as the capital of the country, since Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte is a satellite city of Colombo. Colombo is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins and the population of about 752,993 in the city limits. It was formerly the political capital of Sri Lanka, before Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte. Due to its large harbour and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders 2,000 years ago.
