Any conduct at the State Department, including in all facilities under chief of mission authority, that departs from the requirements established by the anti-harassment policies contained in 3 FAM 1525/26 may result in disciplinary action. Our workplace must uphold American values, respect our laws, allow all employees to reach their full potential, and enable the Department to carry out our mission. Harassment comes in many forms, including words or actions that are unprofessional, painful, and demeaning. It unnecessarily distracts the team from the ability to focus on our mission and deprives the Department of talent, full engagement, and maximum productivity. It affects the mission and, more important, the esprit de corps of the Department. Supervisors and other responsible Department officials must promptly report all allegations of harassment to S/OCR. Failure to report such incidents may result in discipline. The Department is committed to holding people accountable for discriminatory behavior and for not reporting such behavior. I expect all managers to hold employees accountable for any misconduct, just as senior leaders will hold managers at all levels accountable for the same. Department leadership will not tolerate retaliation against individuals who participate in harassment inquiries or who oppose discrimination, including harassment. If you feel you are being subjected to or witness workplace harassment, you should immediately report the behavior to your supervisor and/or a representative from the Office of Civil Rights (S/OCR), which has responsibility for investigating harassment. Officials from that office can explain your rights in pursuing a harassment inquiry or EEO complaint. Harassment should be reported to S/OCR no matter when it occurred. As the world’s best diplomatic corps, we must continue to support and look out for one another. This Department is a family of professionals who work side-by-side every day to practice the crucial art of diplomacy. We owe it to each other to help ensure that the Department of State is a workplace free from harassment and discrimination. Michael R. The well known package STAIRS (an acronym for Storage and Information Retrieval System) was developed to be used on IBM machines, that too mainframe series. STAIRS was a machine dependent program which was commercially made available for any one who could afford its cost. This package has been used by some organisations to manage bibliographic databases. It was a powerful text-retrieval system which enabled string searching from any part of the record. Following the introduction of STAIRS, similar programs soon became available on mainframes as well as minicomputers. Packages like ISIS, MINISIS came into existence. But most of these packages were hardware dependent, and therefore could not be used on a wider scale due to lack of portability.

First restore the files contained in these two diskettes by inserting them in the proper sequence in disk drive A: and typing the line RESTORE A: C:*.*/S and follow the prompts. This DOS command will restore CDS/ISIS into 5 directories on your hard disk, as follows: 1) C:\ISIS program 2) C:\ISIS\SYSPAR database parameter files used by CDS/ISIS to locate the application database.
