Se il flash back non mi inganna si trattava del mega tendone del Palapartenope e tra due ali di folla adulante, in mezzo a migliaia e migliaia di persone con i garofani rossi sulla giacca, in mano, nei capelli, si faceva strada Giulio Di Donato, vice segretario nazionale e mammasantissima del Psi a Napoli. Di Donato stringeva le mani alle ali di folla che sembravano sospingerlo verso quel palco che con gli occhi di un bambino di undici anni mi sembrava immenso.

    Fabrizio Cicchitto: il socialista berlusconiano Fabrizio Cicchitto è nato a Roma il 26 ottobre 1940 da famiglia molisana originaria di Montagano (Campobasso). Consegue la maturità classica al liceo "Dante Alighieri". Si laurea in giurisprudenza all'università "La Sapienza" e successivamente si specializza in studi economici. Dopo un breve periodo nell'ufficio studi della Cgil, negli anni settanta diventa segretario della Fgsi, Federazione Giovanile Socialista Italiana e membro del Psi nella corrente di sinistra dei lombardiani Nel 1976, a 36 anni, diventa parlamentare socialista, confermato nelle elezioni del 1979. Con la pubblicazione degli elenchi della loggia massonica P2 del maestro Licio Gelli, emerge anche l'iscrizione di Cicchitto (fascicolo n. 945, tessera 2232, data di iniziazione 12 dicembre 1980). Inizialmente viene estromesso dal Psi, ma poi, nel 1987, riammesso da Bettino Craxi. Nel 1992 viene eletto senatore e nel gennaio 1994 diventa capogruppo socialista al Senato. A seguito della stagione di Mani Pulite e dei guai interni al Psi (segretario Ottaviano del Turco nel 1994, alleato perdente con Achille Occhetto contro Silvio Berlusconi), Cicchitto fonda nel 1994 il Partito socialista riformista (Psr) insieme ad Enrico Manca, aderendo poi al Partito Socialista-Socialdemocrazia di Gianni De Michelis. Dal 1998 è editorialista de "Il Giornale". Nel 1999 Cicchitto abbandona i socialisti e aderisce insieme a Margherita Boniver a Forza Italia, introdotto da Gianni De Michelis. Nel luglio 1999 diviene membro del Comitato di presidenza di Forza Italia e responsabile del Dipartimento nazionale Lavoro e relazioni sindacali. Dal 2001 riapproda in Parlamento con il centrodestra (con la lista "Abolizione scorporo nel collegio di Corsico").
